Add to the recent expose that Russia (who the West belittle as a country with GDP the size of Italy) produces 7 times the ammunition of the West combined...and you started to think if they're ready at all.

Do we have any figures regarding the production capacity of Turkey regarding missiles, and other types of ammunition?

MKE is still in process of transformation in terms of conduct and I feel like alternative manafacturers for simple stuff like HE rounds would be nice.

IIRC @Bogeyman once put this forward after Turkish operation in Northern Syria.

If I remember their stock are depleted fast so TSK meeds to make sudden imports from SK.

@Bogeyman ?
We imported ammunition from South Korea during Operation Olive Branch. Operation Olive Branch was carried out in 2018. That's 5 years.
The last major operation was Operation Spring Shield in 2020. Roketsan and MKE have opened many factories in recent years to double their mass production capacity. I don't think we will have problems with finished products any time soon. But if a regional war breaks out, the picture will change, of course.

Carl Gustaf recoilless rifles
Apparently Japan just ordered some as well, Carl Gustaf recoilless rifles are truly a timeless classic. I agree with you btw, I hope we have plan for something similar that can easily be used by a single soldier, something like that will always come in handy.

It offers power, range and practicality at the same time. As of today we even have a laser guided round option, wouldn't be hard for ROKETSAN to make one as well considering they can minimize electronics and seekers till 40mm diameter missiles.

That would be awesome,however TSK doesn't seem to exited about ASSAV's C.Gustav copy.I mean it's been almost 3 years since that product was introduced,yet no news about even testing let alone order of the launcher or ammo for it from Turkish army.I guess they have too much of those RPG rounds in storage so they are not in any hurry for new weapons.

We have need to import ammunition, because we havent much, for a tiny operation? Whats wrong with MKE?
MKE's production capability was very limited in 2018. Because everything from warhead production to raw materials was imported. (RDX, HMX and CXM) Later, this gap was closed year by year with Roketsan. And in 2021, we gained facilities where we can mass produce explosive raw materials.

Are we talking about highest techlevel automated production or human ressources for assembly lines ?

In addition to these private companies, Roketsan and MKE are also making new investments to increase their production capacity to meet intense demand coming from abroad. I think when these investments are completed and together with private sector facilities, Turkiye will probably become one of the strongest production bases in Europe.

Is that the issue, because they were not able for mass production.
I guess that wasn't the only problem. In 2018, 120 mm HE tank ammunition was probably not produced in our country. But then the embargo may have come to raw materials as well. Because at that time, we were embargoed for everything against us.
