wish metallica ended this song a lot better in a more non-thrashy way and referencing the initial (almost symphonic) opening riff melody more/better

that ending clashes too much with the phenomenal start and middle.

still an excellent song, one of their best IMO.

Metallica has frustratingly done a number of subpar endings (IMO) to a number of songs they start out and sustain so well.
