Mr. Erdogan:
“We will feel much more comfortable, much safer by completing some critical projects up to 3-5 years”
“We built our semi-aircraft carrier and launched it. Hopefully we'll do the actual aircraft carrier right now"

i want to ask you a some question.
While Turkey's economy is getting worse every day, why try to build a platform like an aircraft carrier, which is very expensive to build and operate? I think that Turkey's priority should be on other projects right now. Because you know that Turkey does not have unlimited financial and human resources to allocate to every project. Doesn't starting such a project make it harder to allocate resources to other projects?

what do you think about this issue?

There are some interesting projects they are yet to announce (or maybe not to for sake of mental health of some people).

And Navy is quite aware of the future threats and they are preparing a solid sensor and counter-measure package to equip all assets, from a boat to the LHD with a scalable architecture of measures. Listing a few examples;

-Optic dazzler (IIR band to begin with to neutralize IR, IIR, SAL guided munitions)
-GPS / RF jammers to neutralize drones - swarms
-Point Defence systems (Gun + Missile based)
-Hisar-RF or another one.
-PIRI - IRST (a lite variant for boats)
-3D AESA radars almost on all boats

EMALS is the way to make aerial operations feasible on light aircraft carriers allowing different sizes of aircrafts to be launched and recovered seamless by utilizing half of the runway, i wonder if any of the EM gun developers will be interested (or invited) to develop EMALS for Turkish L-AC.

Priority is already held for strategical projects; I-Class, TF-2000 and Milden. These projects especially TF-2000 is top priority for budget allocation.

AC project will follow those, TF-2000 will come first. It will take years for design to mature and to he settled upon.

So you are saying that this project is not the priority. If I'm not wrong, this project will continue in the background for many years, right?

Dude even if the AC project is declared a priority do you think we can come up with an AC in 5 years? It will of course continue in the background until it matures. Expect nothing before 2030.

This situation is about where Turkey wants to see itself in the future. The supreme interests of our country and league it will position itself in the future require us to position ourselves in a league of states such as France or Russia or England or China and determine our power projection according to this scale. Considering the future scale of our spheres of influence that will develop in this process, I think that state mind is perfectly interpreting the perception of the future threat and the deterrence it is trying to provide.

These projects emerged as the power projection of a future Turkish Republic that can dominate the seas with its own destroyers, frigates and submarines, making the skies cry with its domestic manned and unmanned aircrafts and can saturate targets 1000s of km away with its own long range strike missiles and can reach the space with its heavy payload SLVs and all these will be done with the economic size of the Turkish Republic 10-15 years later. They are huge projects that have been launched and are the continuation of these infrastructure and I consider that they are on the right track perfectly.

Turkish military budget has room to grow with its current value of 1.8% of GDP.

A full size aircraft carrier is only very reasonable once we have a working thorium reactor otherwise with aeroderivative engines like the ones the UK uses Mediterrenean Sea will be the world.

Turkish Navy need another Anadolu type equiped with tb3 or kizilelma until 2030 because the money should go to build alot of Desteoyers , they are real power with alot armament .
I hope Turkey is working with Pakistan for Ballistic Nuclear powered Submarine equiped with Nuclear weapons .
The future of Turkiye is only secure if Nuclear weapons are avalible and i huge numbers some 5000 warheads in different sizes ....
2023-i class frigate
2025-stm 500 submarine
2027- 1st Tf 2000 destroyer
2029-milden
2032- Nuclear powered Submarine (pakistan/Turkiye)
2035- Aircraft carrier

Construction of the Second OPV for the Turkish Navy will commence in August 2022.

Conceptual design of the MILDEN (National Submarine) was completed by MILDEN DPO (Design Project Office) and submitted to the Turkish Navy in October, 2021.
Kozan Selçuk was talking about it for coming OPVs and i class frigates you think we may face any problems in acquring helicopters?? if America says no to Sea hawks...what are our other options, AW101s, or for the long run a national naval helicopter?

Navy has already submitted their request for helicopter wing of the I-Class. Possibly ASFAT will try to handle it via G2G and direct sales instead of going through congress approval (although, not sure if it remains under the budget necessary for direct sales).

AKDGs will also operated an unmanned VTOL / convertible UAV and they can optionally operate a seahawk or another option which TAI might offer via Gokbey.

TAI should first studying a navalized utility helicopter over Gokbey. Both Coast Guard ans Navy might make use of it.

Any word on a navalized version of T70 yet? Status quo seems just right to request a few additional (naval version) to the production batch!
EDIT: Of course if such an option available under the contract, and the navy is inclined towards that direction…

Navalized T70 becomes the Seahawk in some terms, it is not quite possible for US to will joint production and turkish components on Seahawks. There wasn't a naval conversion in contract of T70 project.

I knew that was a sneaky way to get hands on the seahawks! ;)

Within the scope of New Type Submarine Project (YTDP), 6 Reis class submarines are being built at Gölcük Shipyard.
HAVELSAN, which produces and delivers the Information Distribution System of submarines, has also completed the Command Control and Combat Management Systems.
In the post made by HAVELSAN on social media, "The command control and combat management systems we developed for TCG Selman Reis, the last submarine of the project, will be delivered to the Gölcük Shipyard Command in the coming days after the completion of the acceptance.
