Eh, it is a bit disingenuous to call it "domestic" when it is made by a Finnish company in Finland, that was bought by Turkish company. I doubt they'll be able to get that steel from Finland if they embargo us.
Its made by Erdemir (Eregli), processed in by Millux factory in TR, has no input from Finland.

Processed in Millux for several reasons.

Milux Oy technology adapted, progressed and used in Turkish factory now capable of producing HY80 (80000psi endurance - 80ksi), HY100 (100000psi endurance - 100ksi) steels for Milden and Turkish built submarines.
Milox Oy was recently purchased by Oyak group Of Turkey.

You know our companies made some great purchases recently. I know this isn't strictly naval programs related but on top of Miilux, Canik bought AEI Systems from Uk and a firm I can't remember bought a German firm that specializes in ballistic protection material. That is one surefire way to get necessary technologies and incorporate them in our products.

I always thought this kind of approach would be more beneficial. Even China did/does the same.

When you search for TF-2000, you will find "Muhrip", "Destroyer", "Zerstörer".
And afaik RTE called it "Hava Savunma Muhribi" too.
We use common standards with europe on that usually. You will notice most of EU does not call their AAW ships destroyers but frigates. It doesn't mean much though, they can have tonnage and roles same as a destroyer. Although when TF2000 was started being called a destroyer when design tonnage went from 7000 to 8500, it probably is still oficially a frigate

It was never called a destroyer. TF, Turkish Frigate.

So many British lines from QE. Don't know how much sense that makes when Brits are thinking about modifying QE heavily.

And I'll point the elephant. Kaan with STOL... QE as a design works only thanks to F-35B and STOVL. So weird this.

Isn't Kaan too big? Maybe they are planning some sort of revised, smaller Kaan for the carrier.

Yes China uses J15 but Chinese carriers are tad longer than 285m(300-305mt)

Project started its life as a frigate. Tonnage increase doesn't mean much in itself. At the end of the day, Navy will just slap the F prefix in front of it like all others.

Don't worry about America, count it in your pocket. Turkiye has pressed all the buttons, and it looks like it will make all the openings. :D :D

In 2024;

-Start of construction of Tf2000 prototype
-Construction of Milden test block
-Launching of STM500 test block and unmanned submarine(?)
-Construction of TTAB that will be produced "high quantities" in total
-Construction of 4 more Istif classes
-New type landing ship construction
-Construction of a new type mine hunter
-Design of Turkish aircraft carrier

...such as the most strategic naval projects are being realised. Meanwhile, DzKK Mr Ercüment TATLIOĞLU in front of Turkish Aircraft carrier poster:

Is Turkiye capable to Produce so many warships at the same time ?
How realistic are those information?
We have years that hear about fast attack ship production and milden or stm 500 bit until now nothing .
Stm 500 block its just small part that will be lunched 2024 or whole submarine ??

IMHO, the list shared by Cabatli Üstad is not a imposible thing for current capacity (the problematic part may be financing and subsystem procurement, not hull production), but in 10 years' time it will take on a very different dimension. The order books of many shipyards will consist almost entirely of naval platforms, most of them exports. If we continue to successfully move forward with the specialization of certain civilian shipyards in the field of navy platforms, which has been planned by the Naval Command since long ago, we will reach an annual production capacity equivalent to that of the entire European continent in just 5-8 years.
