Since MİLDEN will come somewhat late, we should consider short-range SLBM capability with TAYFUN. Either a larger MİDLAS or a smaller TAYFUN missile.
It has already been said that MILDEN will come with such a capability, it will be up to Roketsan (and indirectly SSB who will fund the project) to make these missiles and launchers compatible with the given space/volume. In short term it is for Gezgin, but if Navy is interested in MRBM capability, it can be incorporated as well.

Looks like 96 VLS to me
The ship seems butterface to me, got superb first half, but rear half seems like done as a scratch. There seems a lot of things that will go through correction in the rear half. Also not very pleased with removing Nazar system on the aft. This should have been the design passed as conceptual design and now going through contract / functional design phase. I think we will see the final version somewhere in SAHA Expo.

ASFAT won't design TF-2000. ASFAT has no such capability. I don't know if there is anyone other than ARMERKOM that can design an AAW destroyer but certainly not ASFAT. It is like saying Kayseri tank maintenance facility will design Altay.

They designed monkey sections of the İstif class to gain experience and oversaw construction work after ARMERKOM designed most of the ship and passed it to others.

I wonder why everybody visits Armerkom DPO and not ASFAT. I thought ASFAT designed/will design the TF-2000.

Deputy Minister of National Defense and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of our subsidiary ASFAT AŞ, Bilal Durdalı, Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral İbrahim Özdem Koçer and board members visited the Naval Forces Design Project Office Directorate and designed the "TF-2000 Air Defense Warfare Destroyer". He examined his work on site.

Is "Naval Forces Design Project Office Directorate" ARMERKOM?

It seems they are all part of Naval Technical Command since 2017.

Does Turkiye aslo have or has been worked on the tech that can lunch missiles from underwater from submarines? I never heard about such projects but its so important about submatines capabilities like Milden .
Any idea? And is this tech hard to achive ?
Since even N Korea lunch missiles from under water ???

I love the flexible payload approach in the design of this ship. Although we have seen some changes in the superstructure, especially in the main mast, the design approach has never compromised this. The current one has almost the capacity of a mini-LPD. Multiple containers capacity and power infrastructure can be provided, multiple unmanned surface and underwater vehicles and systems can be deployed, multiple crane systems for launching and retrieval, multiple RHIB boats can be used in this section, and the integrated hangar structure will allow more than two rotary wing platforms to be carried inside the ship. A ship being designed with this capacity will certainly offer additional living quarters and operational areas.

The model shown is related to the previous design, is not up to date and shall be also noted that the current design is not mature as of now. In the latest visit tour, they have displayed several analysis results/screens that also belong to this earlier design. This indicates that the subcontractors are still working on the current design and it is going through a maturing process after the inputs from the DPO (It is possible that we have seen second iteration of the latest design) . Regardless of when the first steel cutting occurs, I don't expect construction to start on a solid ground before Q2 2025, or production design to finalize before end of 2026. This ship is now safely expected in the 2030s.

In my opinion there is still a time until we see the latest form of the current lay-out. It briefly demonstrates the features but not the details or full configuration.

From MSB(MoD) 2023 annual report:
"Within the scope of the MİLDEN Project, which will be carried out at Gölcük Shipyard Command, the construction of the Test Block is planned to start in 2024, and construction activities are planned to start in 2025."

Test block was originally slated to be built from 2023, which was later revised to 2024 few months back. Defence Turkey mentions this month.

It was planned in March 2023 (18th), i must have said it back then but the facility also requires an upgrade, likely this process was delayed therefore the construction of test block.
