I still want a sideway proximity fuse for CİRİT to allow C-UAS engagements against fixed wings which fly almost as slow as helicopters. Totally cheaper than SUNGUR like you said. You know, I should work on an offshot concept like that sometime.

I wonder what is the range of proximity fuse. How many meters before the target could it detect?
I don't like proximity fuse system( eğer doğru biliyorsam yaklaşma tapası demek proximity fuse), korkut/Millenium gun timing fuse system is superior. You cant create a steal/ tungsten wall around your ship with proximity fuse.

Aselsan could create new smart ammunition from 35mm ATOM projectile. Shorter brass , low recoil and velocity with the same 35 mm ATOM projectile. Range would be shorter.

On the other hand Again 30x113 ATOM would be great.

Its a case of balancing things. Proximity is a good idea as it would be easier to produce in the big picture due to its simplicity. I certainly would like a VENOM LR with ATOM for dedicated C-UAS though.

35 mm ATOM has been rad as the rounds have long range and larger space for tungsten pieces

Checking open sources, nope… building of the other vessels are continuing but if the original 62 months building to delivery timeframe for each vessel is still valid, Pirireis is behind the schedule by 6 months from revised delivery timeframe and about 3-4 years behind schedule from original timeframe, which also included external delays from Germany.

I can't believe you didn't put a trigger warning before posting that seriously though, only thing our Navy hasn't been able to solve is its naval helicopter shortage, other than that our projects are chugging along great.

Are there no other naval helicopters we can get (excluding Russian and Chinese ones, of course) than Sikorsky?

How do you particularly want them to resolve it? Design a helicopter in Shipyard DPO and ask TAI to build it?

They submit certain demands at SSB and we only see what goes through as approved, they prioritize each demand. At this point it is on SSB. DzKK had limited individual resources and pulled a good game to fund OPVs and TF-2000 at against SSB's reluctance.

Meanwhile on Land Forces it is more of taking a long time to state what they actually want and they don't take any steps back until they hit a wall. Meanwhile DzKK has fall back mechanism to ensure a thing continues, such as MIDLAS, change of certain equipments, heavily assisting certain projects at certain firms with own expertise to make it continues.

Even if a ship built outside the Navy's shipyard, Navy still appoints people to follow the design from scratch to the delivery. I would care to ask how much Air or Land forces contribute to the projects in development (Such as Altay, Hürkuş, et al.) apart from specifying the requirements ?. This is a critique that some Force's should address and resolve. Navy has own problems but this is rather common on being a Turk.

Example from the previous project; the second boat was comissioned before the first one and beside, first boat was delivered just before the third one. It's in the nature of the job.
