This is just embarrassing.I wonder if Levent missile fit and fool RIM-112 system! Imagine we exporting Fake missiles for RAM systems![]()
Sir, I watched the video again and around 0:49(slow-mo) the missile is clearly rolling clock-wise(looking from behind).Bro,
Totally different technologies between the two systems.
RAM, as the name suggests is a Rolling Airframe Missile.
Because of its two axis interferometer, it needs to revolve to get the third axis when measuring radar frequency phase interference when targeting incoming threats.
According to information released by Roketsan, the Levent missile is developed by taking Sungur missile as a base. So it is a dual seeker head missile that has both passive RF and IIR.
Also our missile is 1mm wider and 41cm longer than block 1 RAM; Much narrower than block 2. It has slightly more range than the RAM Block 2 as well.
That is an optical illusion. The back fins extend at that moment.Sir, I watched the video again and around 0:49(slow-mo) the missile is clearly rolling clock-wise(looking from behind).
I wasn't looking at the fins. the black markings on the missile clearly shows it that it's in a roll. That is an optical illusion. The back fins extend at that moment.

Nope,
Mr. Kozan Erkan:
“@kanerkurt In previous broadcasts we did say let's do this, we really did. We can do it cheaper than Korea, Sarı Reis”
Such a deal is almost impossible, I know but, hypothetically, can our shipyards launch such number of AEGIS destroyers every year? Do we own that kind of capacity really?
Hyundai's shipyard alone has larger capacity than entire Tuzla shipyards region.
Bayraktar TB3 Goes Submarine Hunting: ASELSAN Sonobuoy Test Announced by Cihat Yaycı
Bayraktar TB3 is gaining anti-submarine capabilities. Retired Rear Admiral Cihat Yaycı has announced that the TB3, developed by Baykar and instrumental in giving TCG ANADOLU the title of the world's first UAV carrier, has dropped ‘Sonobuoy’ sensors into the sea for submarine detection.
The Bayraktar TB3, which gave TCG ANADOLU the title of the world's first short-runway UAV carrier, appears to have taken the first step in a critical test related to submarine hunting. Retired Rear Admiral Cihat Yaycı stated that the expendable 'Sonobuoy' device used for submarine detection was deployed from the TB3 UAV into the water.
After being dropped into a specific location in the sea by the aerial vehicle, multiple Sonobuoys are positioned in the depths. Using passive directional frequencies, they can detect the presence of a submarine when it passes through that region.
BOTH TB3 AND AKSUNGUR TO HUNT SUBMARINES
Yaycı emphasized the historical importance of the Sonobuoy test with the TB3 in a broadcast on Haber Global, stating:
“Sonobuoys have been deployed for conducting anti-submarine warfare with UAVs. Sonobuoy means... Sensors are dropped to detect submarines, and these devices pick up signals from submarines. Once a signal is received, this information is transmitted to a surface ship or aircraft.
It works through magnetic anomalies. It detects the submarine and reports the information either to the aircraft or the ship. Bayraktar TB3s launched from TCG ANADOLU will detect submarines from great distances and transmit the information to TCG ANADOLU, other ships, and airborne assets involved in anti-submarine warfare. We are probably the first country to do this with an unmanned aerial vehicle.”
The test, which Yaycı announced based on his sources, has not yet been officially confirmed by Baykar as of April 16, 2025. However, it is known that Baykar has long intended to carry out Sonobuoy tests with the Bayraktar TB3.
A similar mission is expected to be carried out by TUSAŞ's AKSUNGUR UAV. AKSUNGUR is planned to carry both the Sonobuoy and the lightweight torpedo ORKA. However, no information has yet been published about AKSUNGUR conducting Sonobuoy deployment tests.
Meanwhile, the Sonobuoy test by Bayraktar TB3 is considered a world first. Although Sonobuoy deployment from UAVs has been done before, Bayraktar TB3 gains a unique distinction for being the first UAV in its class with short-runway aircraft carrier take-off and landing capability to perform such a test. In other words, no UAV that could operate from a ship similar to TCG ANADOLU had previously conducted a Sonobuoy drop.
U.S.-made UAVs like the MQ-9C Fire Scout, MQ-4C Triton, and MQ-9B SeaGuardian can also deploy Sonobuoy sensors.
ASELSAN-MADE SENSOR: ASELBUOY SPECIFICATIONS
It is considered almost certain that the sensor used in Bayraktar TB3’s anti-submarine tests is the ASELBUOY-100P.
ASELSAN describes its passive directional submarine-hunting sensor as follows:
“ASELBUOY-100P is a passive directional Sonobuoy developed in NATO A-size, deployable from maritime patrol aircraft, UAVs, unmanned surface vessels, or surface ships. When deployed from air or surface platforms, it descends to the sea surface via a stabilizing parachute.
After entering the water, it quickly deploys into components that stay underwater (acoustic sensors and mechanical parts) and those that remain on the surface (control/communication parts).
ASELBUOY-100P can collect omni-directional and directional acoustic information in the 5-2400Hz frequency band on a horizontal plane at two different operational depths. It transmits this information in real-time using one of 96 VHF channels via an antenna housed in the floating buoy to air and surface platforms for passive submarine signal detection.
The Sonobuoy’s operational depth, VHF communication channel, and operational duration can be programmed from its own user interface (EFS) before deployment.
Once the programmed operational time ends, the expendable Sonobuoy self-scuttles. After deployment, RF broadcast on/off, operational duration, and VHF communication channel can be modified via the UHF band through the CFS command interface.”

Yeah. But do you mean TR news? It is the one in that tweet which i have posted.TRT news piece mentioned in the tweet already said it wasn't confirmed by Baykar. Unless it comes from official sources, OR, with a video evidence, we shouldn't just believe things.
Yes, sorry mateYeah. But do you mean TR news? It is the one in that tweet which i have posted.
