Türkiye has a vision for a nuclear-powered submarine that will be on the agenda in the 2040s. On the other hand, sooner or later, it will need an electromagnetic launch system for the aircraft carrier which construction has already begun. Going into a more speculative area, the Turkish navy may develop a need for heavy-class ASW frigates over joint program. Within the framework of the Trump administration's vision to support the pace of naval modernization and capacity building with allied countries, if Turkiye becomes one of the partner countries, we could receive accelerating support for some national programs within a framework of mutual benefit.

But considering our standing in the Senate and House I think the outlook for that kind of cooperation is bleak. I very much doubt that we'd be building ships for our own Navy at all. And building to strengthen our adversaries who may en up using it against us doesn't sit well with me.

Especially considering where US is going. I'd say we are in need of every Vessel leaving those shipyards, especially considering how TN has been stretching its capabilities due to insufficient vessels.

We need export contracts for our own industry and we would be building new designs for the us navy either fully or just parts. This deal or agreement would not reduce US security.

Izmir Shipyard Commander Rear Admiral Korkut Şen announced that production of the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) is targeted to begin in 2028 following the completion of ASFAT investments.

While delivery of the first vessel to the Turkish Naval Forces is planned for 2030, the shipyard is also aimed to contribute to the National Attack Boat Project.”

Can’t tell how the current structure will be reshaped but like you said, definitely a capacity increase effort to meet rising domestic and foreign demand.

This is a great development if İzmir Alaybey military shipyard can construct OPV and FAC work density of other shipyards will decrease. İstanbul shipyard should concentrate on TF-2000 and MUGEM.

The Eastern Mediterranean Ship Traffic Services system in TRNC will be put into operation on July 20.

3 new Serdar 7m radars are installed and 1 existing radar is integratred into the system. These radars alongside with cameras and communication equipment will provide 24/7 surveillance over eastern Mediterranean ship traffic.

Data will be send to new control station in TRNC and existing station in Mersin simultaneously

Guys why do we overlook and don't pay attention to ARES 76 design.

IMO today they could do a lot of things in every navy as well as in Turkish.

They called it corvette and it is misleading us .

First ARES 76 Corvette's weight is 1000tons( need to check there is no official information) whereas Ada Class and Hisar OPVs are 2200 tons.

Between 2200 tons and 500tons our navy doesn't have warships so we are missing the capabilities of this tonnage.

ARES 76 is built for ASW mission however the ship has special spaces dedicated for USVs, RIB, and underwater drones.

Our new naval doctrine heavily uses unmanned platforms so we need more ships for them. 76m, 1000ton and 2.90 m draft dimensions are ideal for flexible and agile USV mothership for our seas.

ARES 76 has powerful yakamoz sonar, torpedoes, ASW rockets , antiship missiles. Just lack of helicopter capacity. But today we have new UAV helicopter platforms can launch sonoboys. On the other hand, new Turkish USV s will patrol and detect sea surface and underwater so the role of ASW decreasing in our seas.

I don't know guys I would love to sea this perfect vessel in our navy.
