Gas production is not everything, storage is important too.
Gazprom has been buying storages in Europe (i.e. Germany) and simply didnt fill them at all, unlike the other storage facilities. And thus creating a shortage of gas and who knows maybe all planned by the Kremlin to put Europe in a difficult spot before the invasion. Let that sink in, never ever sell strategic assets to foreign countries. Especially not Russian.

Tenaris delivers first batch of pipes for the Sakarya project in offshore in Turkey

Tenaris has successfully delivered the first batch of products for the Sakarya gas field located in the ultra-deep waters in Black Sea. Tenaris was awarded the supply of 68,000 tons of pipes in varied outside diameters and wall thicknesses as well as an articulated package of related services.

Tenaris delivers first batch of pipes for the Sakarya project in offshore in Turkey​

Tenaris has successfully delivered the first batch of products for the Sakarya pipeline in offshore Turkey. The Sakarya gas field is located approximately 150km off the coast of Turkey in the ultra-deep waters in Black Sea and has a confirmed capacity of 405 billion cubic metres. Upon completion of the first phase in 2023, the field will deliver ten million cubic metres (MCUM) of gas per day to the Turkish grid. The development is expected to meet approximately 30% of the domestic natural gas demand.

Tenaris was awarded the supply of 68,000 tons of pipes in varied outside diameters and wall thicknesses for the development of the pipeline, as well as anticorrosion and concrete coatings, anode pads installation, buckle arrestors and TenFitTM services, which includes the laser end measurement of 100% of the pipes, plus tailored family identification grouping.

The Sakarya project entails a high level of project management as Tenaris covers different services and all the related logistics, not only coordinating and integrating different operations performed by a variety of suppliers, but also working under a tight schedule, with the goal of producing first gas by 2023.

Today Yavuz drillship left the harbor to attach the production valve called Christmas tree to the first well of the Sakarya gas field. Now 3 of the 4 advanced drillships of the TPAO work in the Blacksea gas field.

Fatih drillship is drilling a new exploratory well at the Gökçebey-1 location. Currently, there is no news about the recently drilled Karasu-1 exploratory well. It might be an empty well. Kanuni drillship is conducting well flow tests. Yavuz is attaching Christmas trees to the completed wells.

BOTAS needs money to pay in advance for LNG imports to reduce reliance on Russian gas. BOTAS is currently operating at a loss because the price hikes for gas are not pushed forward to the average consumer because of politics and inflation. So BOTAS's cash stock is melting away and less money is available to pay for LNG imports. Thus a loan is needed to continue.


So in short BOTAS is selling gas at a loss, to calm the average citizen's pocket and is forced to go into debt because of it.

they doubled the dollar in one month so that the two exporters would not be depressed. With high inflation, the public already pays the state as taxes. howwever, things are not going well. fed will start burning dollars soon.tThen i wonder what kind of prescription they will write to the public.

for me, the issue is above politics. this is Turkiye's 60 years state. raise the currency.. exporter's pocket is full. pay for the high-tech products you import with the foreign currency you earn by selling tomatoes and peppers. economics is a science and Turkiye is the africa of this science.

Alparslan drillship will start drilling activities in the east med by the end of July.

TPAO signed a contract with Canadian Trillion Energy for the drilling of shallow water reserves near the Akçakoca. Trillion Energy rented Uranus Rig from a Romanian company and will drill shallow wells. In the phase A, company will drill 5 new wells and recomplete 2 wells, in phase B company will drill 8 wells, re-enter 2 wells and construct a subsea tie to the Akçakoca. Rights of the block is co-owned by TPAO and Trillion energy(%51/49).

An olive farmer drilled a water well in Manisa and found oil by chance. TPAO will drill to learn how big is the reservoir and if it is worth to invest. The depth of the water well is 208m.

We should have never been dependent on Russian gas to begin with. Turkey is not like Germany, we are surrounded by gas fields in almost every direction.

Other countries came in to the picture only later when we already had long term agreements with Russia.
