I don't see how it may not.I will only starting to applaud if these oil or gas flow to our country to benefit our people.
Production is expected to rise to 20% of consumption by the end of this year AFAIK. And a further rise to close to 50% can be expected in 3 years optimistically speaking. Electrification of cars will decrease consumption too in the long run.Oil reserves we have and discovered, what percentage of our needs does it meet? is it like 3% or more ? every sources says different....

I would add to that possible co-exploitation of some overseas resources like in Libya and other places which can effectively take our energy imports bill to zero in a 7 year time-frame. I expect a bright future in energy in the medium term.Himmm it is quite huge resorce for Turkiye i hope we can reach this capacity as soon as possible, oil plus gas would be decrease our current account deficit enough. Already, our current account deficit is 100 billion dollars and the total cost of energy we import is 100 billion dollars. This can be help the economy recover faster....

That requires a strong presence in the East-Med. Of course not. It is only that you want to start with easier to exploit places and move to hard to exploit ones. From land and shores to offshore locations; from nearer locations to far locations.Oh, cool.
I hope this won't cause a regression in our claims in the East-Med. It has became a matter of far more.
