Those who are held up to the microphone about the term natural gas (trade) center, which sometimes comes to the fore on the agenda, focus solely on pipelines and gas volumes that will transit through Turkey, regardless of their titles. Let's be aware and not let us forget,
- Our Turkey is the 4th largest in Europe in terms of volume. It is one of the gas markets.
- The largest gas pipeline and LNG input, transmission, distribution and storage capacity in the region, i.e. gas infrastructure, already exists in Turkey.
- Turkey has implemented gas supply diversity planning with a strategy that should be explained in energy geopolitics textbooks and has presented a success story in this field.
- Gas production in our Sakarya field is planned to reach 15 bcm/year (1.5 bcf/d) in a short time.
- A shining energy exchange in the region, EPİAŞ, which uses local and national software, operates for gas and electricity commodities in Istanbul. Carbon will be added to this in a short time.
