Judging by the video, this is the 4th vessel. The hull is complete, the superstructure is currently under construction.

It was rumored once and i don't know much about that. Aselsan could deliver SMASH in relatively short time if it was ordered when project has begun (or even later). So i rather think they try to keep this platform relatively cheaper?
Is the Bofors recycled from other platforms or inventory?

AFAIK it takes at least 12 months to deliver a product. We saw the info about SMASH in July, 2021 but BN perhaps ordered it before that. Could it be that it's still not the time for delivery?

So i rather think they try to keep this platform relatively cheaper?

Well, if BCG's can get RCWS in their newest IPV then i don't see why BN can't get RCWS with this OPV. But if you look at the picture, it looks like a manually operated gun though details in website say otherwise. Anyway, latest picture suggest the Bofors 40mm isn't there anymore.

Don't know. The turret looks like the one in Salisbury class but that had twin cannon.

Second vessel BNS Shaheed Farid (P 412) has been launched quietly.

So look like the 40mm bofors is really a temporary solution and DefSeca's report about STAMP-2 is not true.

Third vessel BNS Shaheed Mohibullah (P 413) has been launched. Interesting part is that there's no Bofors 40mm gun this time. Three vessels have been launched in few months. The fourth vessel will be launched soon too.

Padma class. Completed 8 and active 5. We've two Durjoy and two Durgam class (ASW version).

Still no change on the main gun. Wondering if we canceled the plan for Smash. Saw someone saying it won't be equipped with it because some issue with the gun mount or propulsion whatever. @Anmdt what do you think? Is it still possible to equip it with Smash? Design says it's possible though.

Propulsion doesn't have much to do with it, honestly. and i think the foundation could be adapted, the above link shows an example of integration through the same foundation of an old weapon system.

Could be a funding issue? Or they may have not found it necessary anymore and went for the old system instead.
