I'm really confused by the terms "Jinnah class", and "Babur class".The only thing I understand is that it's 2 different projects.
The Jinnah class is the continuation of the Pakistani Indigenous warships project.
Just like with the Turkish Milgem project,4 corvettes,4 light frigates,7+ destroyers.
Pakistan started with 4 Babur class corvettes then 4 or more Jinnah frigates after that maybe an indigenous destroyer.

No,not exactly ADA class,they are modified so we cant call them ADA class.
The Jinnah class is a pakistani initiative,although there will be some help from the Turkish side but it will be an indigenous project.

True now i remember, the babur class is around 2900 tons! Will the jinnah class be a heavier frigate?

Jinnah Class is a separate project, even though it was first intended to start right away from Jinnah Class, for certain reasons the project has begun from Babur Class. Babur Class is technically expanded Ada Class with a longer length, more displacement but protecting the core design.

Jinnah Class is actually a design launched by Pakistan, and the project which know-how and ToT is clearly taking place. It is also a design where PN is being assisted to establish a design office and test centers similar to the Milgem DPO of TN and their collaborators in the academia. The project is funded by Pakistan, IP rights are jointly owned (this part is slightly confusing) and design studies are being conducted by Turkish company Kuasar Marin (assisted by TN Milgem DPO/Armerkom) while on-job training is provided for Pakistani officers that will be working as first members of PN Design office.

That is why Jinnah Class is tailored for PN with every aspect, but still inheriting design features from Ada Class /Babur Class to simplify the transition process at the production.

Correct! I will quote one of the comments you made a year ago concerning the deal of the PN milgem/babur.

"The PN Milgem was 3000 tonnes, and including ToT, training of Pakistani engineers, know-how transfer and IP rights for 4 hulls, the price tag was $1.5B. Holding IP rights means that KS&EW holds blue prints and may conduct maintenance, repair on their own, as well produce additional hulls, modify it or sell it solely on their own (legally)".


Does Pakistan have to pay for additional hulls if they decide to produce 4 more warships when they have the IP rights?

I am not sure of the IP rights of PN Milgem at the moment. Initially the program meant to start from Jinnah Class straight away where PN would acquire the IP rights. However the remaining parts stands to be true, know-how and technology transfer taking place at Jinnah class as part of the agreement. However, if i remember correctly they are financing the project.

Got you! Perhaps Pakistan will get the IP rights based on the Jinnah class, and not the PN Milgem.

underwater-related (referring to any component that is literally under the water) subsystems are installed on the first ship of the Babur-Class corvette. Fin-stabilizer, shafts, engines, propeller, rudder, sonar and other sensors or mechanical parts are installed. The process has begun for the second ship of the class, 282 in Karachi Shipyard.

Yes maybe a Thugril class is new but it would be great çafrad radar suit or çafrad x band çfr + cenk-s combine with 32 double pack siper + 64 quadpack Hisar a/o . İt can be completly balance the kolkata class greatly.

PNS TARIQ, the fourth and final ship constructed under Türkiye's national warship initiative Milgem's cooperation with Pakistan, was officially laid down in a launch ceremony in Karachi on Aug. 2.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the event.

The shipbuilding project was part of a 2018 contract signed between Türkiye and Pakistan, which resulted in the sale of four corvettes, marking Türkiye's largest single-item export in the defense industry at the time.

The corvettes, developed simultaneously in both countries under Turkish state-owned defense firm ASFAT as prime contractor, acquire long-range sensors and weapon systems.

During the launch ceremony, Yılmaz emphasized the deepening friendship and strategic vision shared between Türkiye and Pakistan.

"Beyond its own needs, Türkiye is also building ships for many developed countries of the world. Thanks to the capacity we have developed in the field of defense, we have the ability to voluntarily manage the processes in which we are involved without the need to seek anyone's consent," he stated. "We believe that as we develop our national defense industry, our contribution to regional and world peace will increase."

Sharif, for his part, reiterated his invitation to Türkiye to join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Sharif had previously proposed transforming the CPEC into a "trilateral agreement" between China, Pakistan and Türkiye. The CPEC, a crucial component of China's Belt and Road initiative, encompasses a series of projects focused on energy and transportation infrastructure and economic free zones.

The project is expected to significantly reduce the European maritime route's length through the Strait of Malacca, bringing China annual benefits estimated at $10 billion.

Pakistan, in turn, anticipates earning $5 billion solely from highway revenues through the CPEC. The initiative established in 2014 through a bilateral agreement between China and Pakistan originates from China's Xinjiang province and culminates at Pakistan's Gwadar port.
