I have seen more then then the 3000 you mentioned but ok.
There are ways to make it look greater. Trust me if they had a million people, the government would have had to bow down and the army wouldnt have done what it did. Infact some outlets of the media criticized the presentation of their numbers and the people on Social media were also equally angry.
You think this government can and will do that?
My problem isnt with the intent but the resources that are needed to drive this forward. Imran and his cabinet has talked about diversifying productivity but the problem always comes is in funding. How and where do we get the funds? the CPEC economic zones are portrayed as the answer to this problem however whether they materialize or not is yet to be seen. My concern is less with intent and more with competence and corruption.
So,what you are saying is that its called out and will be dealt with?
I am saying its being called out. Dealing with it would require changes from within, the internal change of the nation e.t.c. e.t.c. how do you deal with the unity of the elite in eating a country without a revolution? How do you do it? Perhaps one day it will be dealt with however i do witness some factors that bring positive for example the pakistani people and their social media presence which calls out the actions of elite exploitation. Its not easy and to call it an uphill battle would be an understatement.
Then why couldnt Musharraf do the reforms he wanted, who or what held him back?
Under Musharraf, your economy had its peak and later its low.
There were many factors and he did do as much as he could. Reforms in society were there however how many reforms he wanted to implement is another question because remember, the leaders want to stay in power. The peak in the economy was not real. We were getting an influx of dollars thank to the WOT and alot of that money was either going to corruption to maintain military power and alot of it was going to the operations. It is not a topic that is often discussed but alot of out initial military expenses were reduced significantly thanks to the influx of the US dollars. Apart from this what other reforms were there? You cant remove Islamic from Pakistani constitution, you cant do land reforms because the Pakistani judicial structure has declared them unislamic. So apart from that, there is little that could be done. He could have made industry but i am guessing war and military expenses and keeping everybody happy was more important.
Lolzz
So,the army is still the army?
The Army is always the army we had. Politically driven, self interest institution that will always meddle to secure itself and definitely not hungry for absolute war since that would be bad for business. Oh controlled conflicts like post WOT operations and LOC are a big yes but Invasions are a big NO. There is a reason the Army definitely did not want to go into Yemen.
