Woow
Kilicdaroglu is going to new lows just to get the PKK/HDP votes
The guy becomes a greater threat with every passing day

That communist coloured insurgency costed the Turkish economy more than 100 billion dollars. We never fully recovered from this shitshow.

Everyone who supports this liberal psyop is a enemy of the state.

Secular nationalism is nothing more than a bunch of nothing burgers.

Dont call yourself a nationalist if you dont believe in legends, myths or even religion for that matter.

Because legends and myths have always been a nations founding.

Thats why many secular nationalists over time have turned into liberals, progressives.

Because they see race, ethnicity as bs they say the same thing about religion by calling it bs.

Start believing in Turkic mythology also believe its real. If not you cant yourself a nationalist because the Muslim Turk or a Tengrist Turk believes in something and believes its real.
So you are against Ataturk's path? You realise that secularism simply means a removal of religion from state. This has proven to be a good thing globally. Secular nations are far more successful than their religious counterparts. Governments that rule with religion are generally more corrupt. The west's decline into liberalism is a result of multiple factors, secularism isn't the primary cause. For example, China is staunchly atheist, yet isn't going down that path.

Now that we got that out of the way, notice how I said secular NATIONALISM. AKA not tying Islam to nationalism. Being nationalistic regardless of faith. Much better than forcing ummah nonsense down everyone's throat. We are seeing right now what Islamism does to a country.

If you go back to the first few decades of the establishment of the Republic, you will see how Turkic mythology and Turkic identity was taught to children. Then came political Islam...

That was Ataturks time im calling todays one.

In the past you had lots of pan Islamists in the Ottoman Empire who epoused Turkish nationalism while today most are anti nationalist.

Times have changed. Even Ataturk despite not believing religion still saw it as part of society.

Now today most secular nationalists have turned into progressives.

Not to say religion supports nationalism because it depends really. You will have people who believe religion and nationalism go together while others separate it.

It depends really. I still believe, believing in something is the way to go.

I know science and technology is said to render religion as obsolete. But you gotta believe in something even if it does not make sense.

Religion still played a role in the Turkish independance war.

Thats why the Ottoman sultan and Ataturk used religious symbols to try and woo people into their cause.

I find the whole concept of people rejecting nations and their identity as ridiculous.

Because this bs of we are 1 race or there is 1 ummah is really utopian to its core. Humans by nature are tribal. Concept of a community has existed for centuries.

Another reason why this concept of Ummah has failed well it works as spiritual but politically no and will never.

Same story why communism has failed. Any kind of utopia bs always ends in failure.

Hitler didnt believe in God but even he acknowledged that without God he couldnt rally his troops. Blut und Boden and Meine Ehre heist Treue was not as powerfull as Gott mit uns.

Marx said religion is the opium of the people. He was wrong. Religion is the powerpack of an army.

Atheist armies are doomed to fail, look at the Red Army, in the '80's they were in their prime but stil got their ass kicked in Afghanistan by goatmen.

This part has nothing to do with the religion.

How do you motivate an atheist to fight?

For the Mongols it was Tengri

For the Tengrist Turks it was Tengri

For the Muslim Turks it was Allah

For the Christians it was God.

Even Romans and Greeks had war gods. Same with the vikings.

Religion has always played a role in war just like politics.

100% agree.

Look at the history books and you see enough proof. Hannibal Barca was a seculair person from the beginning but he rallied his troops by using the Phoenician Gods, later on when he used the help of Spanish and Gaulic mercenaries he even used their tribe Gods.

The Roman statesmen and generals who fought him were almost all atheist and refused religion. Later on, when Rome was in danger and Hannibal advanced, they used the old Roman war gods.

I wouldnt call Romans as athiest as they believed in Roman paganism and the imperial cult.

Religion has always played a role in civilisation and society.

Dont know I still find Turkic people from other Turkic countries far more closer to myself. ''Turk'' is an adjective and awareness it is not really that important what you belive in or which geography you live in.

Turks without religion (no matter what religion) is like a impossibility for me.

Our ancestors from Metehan to Alparslan and from Baybars and Kanuni till Fatih and Ataturk, none of them were ateists.

This anti-religion thing is a result of bad education and bad people who used religion for their own goals, but the religion itself is not a problem.

After almost 100 years of harsh atheism, the Russian people turned back to their Gods and churches. Even in China where atheism killed more than 50 million people and i dont know how much abortions, you see ordinary Chinese looking for their old religion.

What are Ukrainians fighting for? God or country? "Slava Ukraine!", Glory to Ukraine!.. You see any reference to religion here? A perfect example of how nation comes before religion.

Funny how a lot of you associate religion with fighting prowess. Were the North Vietnamese religious? Is the up and coming world superpower China religious? Is the western world that achieved global domination for the past few hundred years religious? They became unstoppable after tossing religion to the side.

Hilarious how a lot of you give the Taliban example. They fought for 20 years and you think they won because of religion? Well PKK hasn't been eradicated for 40 years, shall we all become Marxist-Leninists because they keep fighting on? What a silly way to think. It's because of geography, yes GEOGRAPHY. Both the Taliban and PKK are/were fighting a defensive war in mountainous terrain. Notice how PKK was crushed in the cities? Yet just like the Taliban, they have managed to survive in the mountains.

Notice how the FSA and many religious rebel groups were defeated by Assad in flat terrain? What happened to their religion protecting and motivating them?

A coherent sense of nationalism should always come first. You can sprinkle in religion, but it isn't the key to an effective fighting force. Not even close.

To be clear, I'm not advocating atheism. But the brand of Islamism the government is advocating is a threat to the nation's security. This ummah nonsense is aimed at destroying Turkish national identity. 10 million refugees and AKP is trying to make us accept every last one of them, saying that there is no room for "racism" in "our religion".

What are you talking about LOL FSA took 60% of the country after that they began to fight themselves which led to their defeat then coupled with the rise of isis which led to fsa taking enormous setbacks.

Fsa Syrian Turkmen fighters actually kept assad forces at bay in Turkmen dagi until Russia began airstrikes which turned the tide against them. I dont think fsa is a religious organisation despite being majority Sunni they had Christian fighters too.

You are talking about globalisation. What akp is doing is nothing new its a global trend.

People are now allowing immigration to any country its not as restrictive as it was before.

Australia once had the white australia policy.

People are mixing races and ethnicities even more today than the past.

People are now longer isolating themselves for their own people.

Its all thanks to capitalism and need for cheap labour.

Ummah has always been a political tool.

Ottomans used it , the Mamluks, Abbassids, Ummayads, Timurs Empire, Mughals even the Muslim Mongols.

Whole united Ummah was a political tool to wage war against other Muslim kingdoms and empires. Only way to achieve unity was to conquer.

Thats why the Turks, Arabs and Iranians are clashing as one of them believe they are the leaders of Islamic World.

Turks, Arabs and Persians have always been rivals to each other.

I wholeheartedly agree
It is kinda strange that all of these events are happening recently after the major announcement of an operation by Erdogan
Naked ppl having sex and naked ppl running on highways...... and all of this is in Istanbul..... this is literally the HDP pricks stimulating shit up in order to stop the operation since it will kean that the HDP will lose a major source of connection with the PKK in Syria and they already lost Iraq!

One of my turkish friends, an anti-AKP, always said that it is was a mistake to give Istanbul to Imamoglu to rule. He would be happy if some1 like Yavas were to rule Istanbul but kept saying that Imamoglu is literally a young kilicdaroglu and even more scarier than him. In fact, he is one of those who influenced my view on Imamoglu and now I can see why Imamoglu is a mistake

Imamoglu is a big mistake for Turkey. Even hardcore CHP-fans are distancing themselves from him and want again Kilicdaroglu as presidential candidate.

His disrespectfullness at the Tomb of Fatih Sultan Mehmet was the last drop.
