After days of nothing, it seems like the government has finally accepted help from the EU:

But not the help from Greece that could have literally been here on day one if requested. We always helped out each other in times of need, seems like our government does not even have the decency for that.

At this point I dont even know what to say any more.

Sad news. Greece has a lot of experience in this kind of situations and of course the means to help.

This government has brought shame over the Turkish nation so many times. But being too proud to accept the help of your neighbour in times of need is one of the biggest, shameful episodes in this never ending horror story.

What is the religious position of democracy, this sounds interesting.
Is there any country that is ruled as you suggested and people are happy and prosperous?
who knows may be someday they may understand religion is a personal issue. Politics (domestic or international) and Religion never had a healty relation through out human history including post prophet Islam. freedom of thought, freedom of speach and all the political rights of citizens are essential to democracy and thus the guarantee for any religious belief like any other personal preference with in the rule of law and with the boundry of other people's rights. and So far with all its short comings still Democracy seems to be the most effective way of ensuring ACCOUNTABILITY and preventing power coruption resulting in ideological or religous Autocracy, Theocracy or Oligarchy.

What's up with all the government organizations in Turkey avoiding responsibilities around instead of doing their jobs?

The fires may have been started by sabotage but they certainly got worse because it doesn't seem like anyone in government is handling it properly.

Because those organizations are in the hands of incompetent people who you wouldn’t even let drive a toy car. And those people whole goal is to rob those organizations of their money and to transfer it to family members and close friends.

This has been the M.O. of the AKP forever.

You fill the government with incompetent people and one day that government will collapse. And that point has been reached. There is nothing that will save Erdogan or the AKP from defeat. Every competent person inside the Party has been driven out as scapegoats for his own terrible decisions. Now you are left with yes men and women who only care about their pockets and who think they can just board a plane and leave the country once everything goes to shit.

But they are wrong. So so wrong.

The people are angry and the people will have their judgment.

Justice will be had for the last 20 years. And every single one of them will treated the same they have treated the innocent and children of this republic. The same kind of justice they will see and they beg for true justice but no one will hear them.

The last time the west saved this time the people have learned their lessons.

in other words nicely hidden manipulation, democracy today is at best and to be generous is plutocracy, they are throwing on people materialistic stuff to achieve some ilusion of choice meanwhile 1% of usa population lends money to the 90% of usa population, give me a break. system were vote from practically iliterate person has the same value as someone who invested 20 years in education for example are same is far from perfect.

I don't even get the logic of it this time because Turkey has already accepted Greece's help in the past with natural catastrophes and vice versa. What's the issue with doing it this time, it's not like people are gonna point and laugh "ha, ha, big Turkey needs little Greece's help" or some juvenile stuff like that.

Has Turkey ever thought about controlled burning to lessen wildfires?

We do control burning in Australia.

I have a personal family connection to Balkans guess the name of the village is Prekazi once there was a player in Galatasay with the same name as well :) Like any other Turkic country Balkans is full of brothers and sisters for me/us. therefore ı dont discuss politics with my kin! but just a humble advise/suggestion Capitalism and democracy are not the same thing so when you critisze capitalism all you do is straw man fallacy
No problem, I am just theorizing about it, if you look carefully every system can legitimately claim that is democracy, what is important how is it filled with which values. boundaries, procedures etc. but ok i will respect your attitude towards discussion about it :)

Capitalism is in Islam.

Dont listen to anti capitalist Muslims. Because this term is an oxymoron when the Prophet Muhammed himself was a merchant and made his money.

I prefer capitalism over communism anyday. At least I wont starve to death in some bs utopia.

Controlled burning isn't really an option in densely-forested, mountainous areas, especially in extreme heat where any small fires can quickly spin out of control. In addition to usually being done in winter or autumn during colder weather, it also depends on the type of flora growing in the area that you are planning to set aflame. Some trees can burn really, really well and before you know it, half the forest is on fire.

The perfect economic system is a balance of capitalist and socialist policies. Here in America, for example, so many right-wing people are allergic to "dang, dirty communist infiltration" that they even argue against perfectly sane policies like socialized healthcare because Soviet Union.

It's not like unrestrained capitalism is a good idea either, just look at nutjobs like Ayn Rand. Do you want people like her running the country? Didn't think so.
