"@TEI_TUSAS Genel Müdürü Mahmut Akşit: "TEI-TS1400'ün bütün fikri mülkiyet hakları Türkiye'ye ait. TEİ'ye ait değil."

No, Mr. Akşit did not say exactly that. "All the rights of the Ts 1400 turboshaft engine belong to our state. Of course, it belongs to the Presidency of the Defense Industry on behalf of the state," he said.
There is no difference except saying the same thing in a different way.

Is there any possibilty for return to national regional passenger aircraft project and new light cargo aircraft project with help of tei tf-6000 turbofan engine ?

They can caary 35-40 passenger and their engine have similar thrust with Tf-6000

Lufthansa.rj85.arp.jpg

British Aerospace 146 can carry -+ 100 passenger and carry a 4x engine who have similar thrust with Tf-6000

All of that aircrafts have enough ranges for regional .

And if we use 4x Tf-6000 we can make a Kawasaki c-1 kind local jet cargo aircraft for , awacs, cargo and air refuel etc.

TAI has most recently signed a cooperation agreement with Indonesia to develop regional aircraft. What happened next is unclear. If the project is realized, perhaps the engine of TEI may come to the fore. Otherwise, I don't think so.

TF6000 is a military class engine. It is not really suitable for passenger aircrafts. Military class engines are low bypass engines that are more akin to turbojets. Passenger planes use turbofans with high bypass ratios. Not taking in to account the certification issues, a passenger aircraft’s turbofan has a much larger fan than a military engine’s.

I understant thanks. But is it hard ? So I mean making a high bypass turbofan ? With core of tf-6000 or entirely new core ?

It is sooo hard for Turkiye.

In two perspectives, it would be a very very difficult and even impossible task for TEI.

a) While there are military turbofan projects such as the TF-35000 that need to be completed very urgently, we cannot allocate qualified personnel and capital to that project.

b) TEI is currently the largest producer of foreign civil jet engines parts such as LEAP Engine parts. Why would TEI, which has suffered serious financial damage due to Covid-19, risk this position?

At some point the design team of TEI will be relieved from work on the design of the TF35000 engine which is when they can and will be willing to take on new challenges. I would give it 3 years for TEI to start work on a relatively high bypass engine to power relatively fast subsonic planes.

Commercial + civilian mass production side, it is best if Turkiye perfects it turboshaft and turboprop and work through MRO feedback cycle to develop reliable name there.

Only with that done can commercial turbofan follow in optimal way, otherwise you will throw too much money at it for little market return (given long term costings airlines look at), I can guarantee that.

This is large part of why Russian engines did quite badly in the end in world market (even in their own domestic market) even though they had all classes of engines unlocked quite a long time by Soviet legacy.

You need to ramp up and develop reliability + proven cost efficiency in the larger sense in the aircraft hangar side especially.

TEI is preparing to test aviation engines in the mountains in the East with the mobile engine test bench it has developed. The system is expected to be loaded on trucks and transported to the mountains.
With the first test carried out this year, aviation engines will be tested under realistic conditions at 17,000 to 20,000 feet.

Which engine is being tested, the TF-6000 or the TF-10000?

It's likely TS1400. Gökbey has a service ceiling of 20k feet. So testing the engine on a mountain might make sense. For turbofan engines you need vacuum chambers and flight testing as those engines go way above 20k feet.

It sounds like the UK is trying to make money from big countries with lots of enemies. Making these countries dependent on themselves...countries should try to do it themselves as much as they can. Türkiye and India are good examples.

IP rights are not mentioned at all, because it is difficult for them to grant such rights. Although, they must know that with advancing technologies, countries will eventually produce these engines.

UK economy is currently the worst one in G7, they barely avoided a recession this past year. Inflation and cost of living has been out of control and Tories might even lose the election because of it. While they are still obviously very rich, Brexit has hit UK very hard and economy has been suffering ever since.
The fact that one thing happened vaguely some time after another doesn't imply causation. The whole point of Brexit was for the UK to gain control of its immigration and laws, and yet the """conservative""" government has only doubled down on all the cancerous Progressive tendencies the EU was previously imposing on them. Anyway this has nothing to do with propulsion systems so please take it to the economy thread.

Even without the IP rights having a company that produces 5th gen engines inside Turkiye or India would still be extremely beneficial for Turkiye and India.

Projects like this give developing countries access to more advanced military tech trends.

Considering the number of sanctions the Turkish defense Industry has faced made IP rights all or none thing for Türkiye. There is no guarantee that engine sales will not be disrupted 20 years later. We simply can not stomach another Altay Power Pack issue.

GE Marine has signed a license agreement with TEI. TEI become authorized in-country service provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul of GE's LM2500 marine gas turbines. TEI will be responsible for the marine gas turbines in countries Turkiye exported LM2500 engines with domestic warships.

Do TEI plan to develop a turboprop version of the TS-1400 in the future ? This would greatly enhance the performance of UAV’s, and limit the dependence of foreign engines.
