May be they will be using other engines but definitely not Ukraine engine. Ukraine no longer has the ability to produce engines.W
We don't know that and Baykar must have already stocked a number of engines.

Great news ! Finally a first firing of our first turbofan.
Congratulation to all that had a a hand in it.
As per Dr Akşit's previous statements, this engine probably has a lot less thrust than the aimed 6000lbf in dry thrust. It will take time to develop it in to a 6000lbf engine that can fly an air platform. But luckily we have gone through the motions with TS-1400 and as it is not going to propel a plane that will be entrusted with human life, it should be quicker to see the fruits of this endeavour.

A big thumbs up to TEI!

Qataris fed up with Ethem and removed him from the Turkish defense industry. Qataris directly petitioned Erdoğan to remove Ethem from the equation. Ethem was invincible but he made a big mistake and bamboozled Qataris. Erdoğan called Tosyalı and told him to takeover BMC and BMCPower. TAI bought TRMotor.

Now officially we are a new member of another elite club Turbofan engine manufacturing nations :devilish:

USA
UK
France
Russia
China
Ukraine
Turkiye

Add:

Canada
Germany
India
Japan

Going by just manufacturing alone, the list increases more actually given licensed production.

In one of his posts, @Windchime mentioned that SK has started testing their 5.5k lbf turbofan engine, iirc.

@Chocopie

Yes South Korea and Brazil are progressing here. They both want a domestic engine in this class for UAVs and small aircraft....that will serve to take things to next tiers just like Turkiye envisages too. India has its HTFE-25 engine in this class as well for same purpose.

Iran program here exists but is very opaque as always.

Does Turkiye have a flying test bed planned?
A second-hand Bombardier business jet was purchased to test Kaan's optics suite and BURFIS. If needed, this engine can be integrated into that aircraft and tested.

But I don't think this will be necessary. I think TF-6000/10000 engine can be integrated directly into KE&Anka-3 drones and tested that way.

Kızılelma has been flying the longest and is probably the longest along towards maturing. Considering Turkish makers' risk averse approach it should be Kızılelma taking the risk of an accident from flying with an unproven engine but also moving in development first.

likewise, we are no alternative to anyone at this stage. we need at least a few years(actual delivery) to be included in the list.

Kizilelma hasn't been flying for quite a long time. Baykar has confirmed this as well.

How about twin-engined Kizilelma that can be used as motor test - bed? One reliable engine, one test engine.
