KALE started to develop more advanced turbojet motor for longer range missile variants. KTJ-3200 will pass to serial production in a short time.

View attachment 7050

Factory tests are currently underway by Kale and qualification tests will start on 8th or 15th December, the qualification tests are expected to run for a month. After passing these tests, development period of the KTJ-3200 will be complete and ready to enter serial production.

In parallel with the serial production phase, integration and flight tests will also be carried out with various missiles - not only SOM Cruise Missile. This phase according to Head of Technical Department at Kale Group, 'Osman Okyay' will take around 7-9 months to complete. Q4 2021 Turkish airbreathing missiles with KTJ-3200 engine will enter inventory.

They started from scratch and developed an engine that will have great political projection as well as military deterrence for Turkey. Well done to Osman Okyay and his team.

Nice, it will be a great moment if the mass production can be started. Do you know the progress of KTJ-3200 now ? Certification process ??
Ktj3200 is actually ready to go on SOM and Atmaca. But as is the case for all new engines, the kjt3200 had to be integrated in to the said missiles. All tests have been completed. Engine parameters have been redesigned to be compatible with the missiles. (These missiles were using French TR40 engines. Straight swap was not possible.)
As far as I know the last test was performed during last few weeks. After the acceptance of the test results the engine‘s serial production will start.

With english sub... like the video guys :)

Tumosan also produces marine engines.
Two 450 hp engines, more than 80% of which are locally developed with the company's own capital and national means, were delivered to the General Directorate of Shipyards in July 2020.
System level tests of the 2 engines mounted on the sea mule continue.

Turanoğuz writes what he saw from here bro.

170 kwh means with average of 100 kw power consumption it can run 1.7 hour.
Don't compare it to Tesla in terms of range, it wouldn't make sense since this vehicle is not designed to minimize power consumption or to be driven at highway, it would have at most 50-100 km range in conditions it is designed to run.
If this is hybrid (along with a diesel engine of 150 -200 kw power output) this makes sense, but without it doesn't, however i don't think MKE or other producer in Turkey is working on electric + diesel engine coupling gears.

That isn’t very attractive tbh, any stress or struggle would decrease performance. Wouldn’t a hybrid engine or power generator be preferable to deliver power ?

Hybrid would make sense in too many ways but probably would be hard to directly couple diesel engine with electrical, if not in "AND" but "OR" configuration it would make sense too.

One of the prototypes of BMC Power. The top block looks different from the previously shared protypes.
