Hmm, perhaps TAF could buy some Typhoons to counter Greek Rafales? I know there won't be new fighter platforms inducted, but if the F-35 is out of the picture for the rest of the decade, some typhoons could alleviate those shortcomings.

Indeed 24-36 upgraded Typhoons could really help Turkey until TF-X is ready.

The four highest Royal Air Force ranks are marshal of the Royal Air Force, air chief marshal, air marshal and air vice marshal (although the first named, which has generally been suspended as a peacetime rank, is the only one which can properly be considered a marshal). The five-star rank of marshal of the Air Force is used by some Commonwealth and Middle Eastern air forces

*** AM = Lt. Gen = V.Adm
** AVM = Maj. Gen = R. Adm
* Air commodore = Brig. Gen/Brigadier = Commodore

Some countries use army ranks for air force (USAF system I call it, given USAF was first USAAF i.e army airforce). US also retired commodore name from official use, the 1 star navy rank is just rear admiral (lower). Commodore in USN tends to be special title given to experienced captains.

I'm skipping 5 star ranks here...those are very rare these days anyway.
