If you are interested in rare historical videos like me, we can create a common thread by sharing examples here.

As the first post of the thread, I wanted to start with the newly restored footage of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk introducing the Shah of Iran to the members of the parliament and the government. It is exciting to hear Atatürk's voice so clearly. It is also clear that the Shah understands the Anatolian Turkish dialect without difficulty.

In 1934, Shah Pahlavi of Iran visits Turkiye. The meetings were held with great sincerity and in a spirit of brotherhood.

Another video from the same visit. The two leaders of the East speak Turkish to each other.

This is one of the best Turkish marches. It is really touching. Translation is difficult so I post it in Turkish.

Yolumuzda olsa da dağlar kalın bir perde
Pervasız bir kartalız bu hudutsuz göklerde

Gönlümüzden taştıkça bizi coşturan bu hız
Semada olacağız ışık saçan bir yıldız

Kalbimizde korku yok, çelikten kanadımız
Tayfunlardan yılmayan Hava Harp Okulu'yuz

Bu masmavi saraydır meskenimiz, yerimiz
Ölüme bir şekilde alıştı gözlerimiz

Hızını bizden alır kuşlar ve fırtınalar
Geçtiğimiz her yolda bize şimşek olur yâr

A very interesting and promising thread. I hope folks keep updating it.

I certainly love this kind of thing (archival footage of crucial formative era for the modern genesis of a country).

I think there are lot of details with just Ataturk alone in this era that Turkish members can shed much more light on with interesting archive footage etc and perhaps some pertinent commentary and analysis.
