This is the only thing that doesn't make sense and has me scratching my head. If the aim is to show others we're this and that. why the hell reveal for all the world to see?

If it were real then it makes sense to show it. Take the context of something like syria, it creates a much bigger deterrent against the isrealis as Turkiye expands her footprint and holds off war, which is better for us in the short term. Its also a message to the french that they are within are striking range and such a missile alludes to "nuclear warheads". Ripley pretty much explained this.

So if it were real, then it makes sense.

The only other thing i can think is that the project is very real, but what they have shown is fake. What do i mean by this, Turks are saying to them we have these capabilities, but at the same time by showing an unrelated fake/mockup they are not giving away the real capabilities.

The danger of course that this is just a typical iranian style stunt designed for domestic consumption.

Since we don't have a history of these sorts of mega stunts, its not entirely clear to me what is going on.

Making bigger claims than what is actually being delievered do not create any additional political gains.
Who cares if you can hit at 6000 km range when all your opponents are within 3000 km range.
