Well true to some extent. Do you remember the simulations of the S-400 radar? Lİke if we put the radar there, there are blindspots here etc. Similar situation with Koral. If the geography allows it can jam a ground radar 300km away maybe even more. That is why I wrote "up to" 300km. Because most of the time it is hard to jam radars over 200km because of geographic obstructions.

What about jamming of air platforms?

It can jam everything in its GHz range. It doesn't matter if it is land, sea, or air-based.

Range for targets at 5000m;)


That's why I would prefer 3 s350 Vityaz rather than 1 S400.
( There is one advantage of S400 over s350 , capabilities against Ballistic Missiles however we bought export version which is limited by producer. 40n6e missiles are limited with 30km altitude which isn't different from 9m96e / s350's missiles.)


S400 would be great for naval applications.

KAFES, all information from multiple types and numbers of sensors is combined to maximize situational awareness in the operational environment, enabling multi-target tracking even in intensely chaotic environments. In the operational environment, it is possible to operate independently of the type and number of sensors connected to the system or to be connected when necessary.

YARASA, the target's type information (Airplane, Helicopter, UAV, Missile, etc.) is predicted as probabilistic on the combined picture. With the use of multiple sensors and the processing of all information from the sensors, specific type classification of targets is also done. For example, with this capability, drone-class aircraft can be distinguished from other objects (birds, etc.), while predictions are made regarding the sub-class information of drone-type aircraft (DJI-Mavic, Parrot-Disco, etc.).

With this capability, which is based on artificial intelligence, the target type information of aircraft that may pose a threat to both long-range systems that make zone defense and short-range systems that make point/facility defense can be detected in a short time, thus enabling the system to operate an effective response process. The target classification system works whenever the main system is active and corrects itself continuously and automatically.

With TDST, it is ensured that the threat situations of the targets in the operational environment are evaluated and the weapons to be engaged in order to eliminate the related threat are determined optimally, taking into account the entire operational environment. Threat-weapon matching is performed by scoring the air targets with the heuristic optimization algorithm specially developed for the auction.

ASIST, data with increased accuracy and frequency is directed to weapons in order to prevent targets that pose a threat in the operational environment. Absolute interception efficiency is sustained by predicting the maneuvers or countermeasures to be implemented by the target to be avoided, thus creating uninterrupted, highly accurate and consistent guidance data. Forecasts are made in accordance with the types of targets. In this context, this ability works integrated with other abilities (YARASA, TDST, etc.). In current situations, even if there is a change in the target-weapon matching, the process of creating guidance data for the new target continues with the ability to adapt quickly.

Automation and decision support systems integrated into the command & control structures are the future of warfare. Fire support, CAS, air defence systems, reconnaissance and EW platforms integrated with AI automation and decision support systems that are working with the intelligence provided within the network and effective communication means helping into classifying, analyzing threats and providing advices on when and how to engage. This will help a lot the commanding staff in their time with taking decisions and will improve a lot the clarity of the picture of the whole war theatre. This command & control structure combined also with offensive means will be something that will bring our armed forces levels ahead of the armed forces of many developed countries. I really love the network centric warfare concept of the SSB and the Turkish Armed Forces.

Aselsan YENER Ground-Penetrating Radar will enter service starting 2022. It can detect metal, nonmetal mines and IEDs. Radar has an modular design which allows it to be integrated to various different platforms like UGVs. Radar uses MIMO architecture. Can create high definition 2D and 3D imagery. Can work integrated with RF countermeasure systems. Can auto-calibrate itself to different terrain. Radar can also use SAR techniques for detection.
