One of ASELSAN's equity projects (X-Band Active Phased Array) AESA SAR Pod is preparing for its first flight test. With the AESA SAR Pod, which is planned to be the first flight test in 2022, it is aimed to have a lighter and more compact SAR solution for manned / unmanned aerial vehicles that are involved in the execution of intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance activities. The AESA SAR Pod, which can be used on all platforms that can carry MAM-L ammunition, can also be integrated into other radars on the platform. Following the test flights of the AESA SAR Pod, which is planned to start in 2022, the product will be ready for use in 2023 at the point of being a project for supply.

ESEN Airborne Wide Area Surveillance System (AWAS), which is a wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) solution, provides persistent surveillance from aerial platforms. AWAS system designed to be integrated into manned surveillance aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Class III (MALE/HALE).

Unlike straw-alike looks and small circle projections of traditional airborne surveillance systems, AWAS provides holistic surveillance over very large areas (~10 km2) via imagery sensors. While surveilling overall picture, AWAS is capable to utilize multiple live feed chip-outs of areas of interest at very high resolution (~20 cm GSD).

ASELSAN companies BITES and ASELSAN SİVAS signed the protocol for the development of national augmented reality glasses at the International Future Military Conference event organized by Defense Turkey Magazine.

Within the scope of the work supporting the "Military of the Future" concept, a joint effort will be made to develop an "intelligent augmented reality glasses prototype" for the needs of the security forces on the battlefield.

In the first phase of the project, a glasses that can work with external sensors and cameras, have wide-angle (FoV), support 5G - LTE - Wi-Fi, suitable for environmental conditions and can be used in military operations will be developed.

BITES will undertake augmented reality software development, and ASELSAN SİVAS will undertake optical, electronic and optomechanical design and production responsibilities. The two companies will carry out development activities in the light of their abilities and experience through the system engineering studies they will carry out together.
