We can safely claim that CENK-100 and AKREP 200 (may be labeled as CENK-150N) may also be used for small boats, USVs as C-UAS and short range air defence duties.ASELSAN has revealed quite some stuff on radars this week.
FULMAR 500-A long range surveillance radar will ne ready in 2026 and flight tests of FULMAR 200-A will begin soon.
CENK 100-A mini AESA for ship C-UAS and AKREP 200-N will be the radar of GÖKSUR PDMS
Finally, we have seen ARDA radar or CENK 300-N for FACs
Edit: They have taken down the magazine sadly
That is one use of USVs I really hope we'll investigate. You can set a couple of them between you and the enemy (or where you think the enemy is, you get the point) and you can use them as early detection and first line of defence.USVs as C-UAS and short range air defence duties.
These are not really news. Same happened in the past as well. My thinking is that once it gets too much attention and starts to be shared all over social media, they either take it down for a while for the hype to die down, or see mistakes/typos to edit them. In the end it's usually reuploaded few weeks later. Is it election year or something, since they're taking down the news ?
I'm glad to hear that we're making progres on these.
But I miss good news from TCG, it's as if they're allowing it to rot away.....
To be frank, these quarterly papers/magazines/gazettes are usually made for people in the company, bureucrats, industry professionals to share on linkedin. What they miss is that we nerds are the ones skimming through every page for a single piece of information. For stuff they want to put out, they just use twitter and youtube. It sounds like they don't have a real Marketing & Communication department that handles these uploads![]()
You would be correctAnka-3 prototype uses Aselflir-500. AF500 was first integrated to Akıncı earlier this year. I think we can expect for Anka-3 AF500 is just a placeholder until Toygun EOTS is ready.
It would help to track low observerable Targets and with Datalink our F-16, Kaan Fleet can be equipped with long-range AA Missiles to counter enemy AWACS, Tanker and MPA.
Is this viable for military use? I am really ignorant when it comes to radars, but it seems legit enough. If so, integrating some kind of sensor capable of utilizing starlink (or future fergani) signals would be a good addition to steel dome.

Kalkan-100G=MARWhat is Kalkan-400G and Kalkan-200G?
We need a cataloging system for Turkish defense products in service, similar to what the U.S. uses. All designations should start with "T-" to prevent confusion among international speakers.Kalkan-100G=MAR
Kalkan-200G=MAR II (MAR Mk2)
Kalkan I
Kalkan II
Kalkan-400G= Kalkan-4TWTA (Travelling Wave Tube Amplifier)
Kalkan radars use traveling wave tube amplifiers. Kalkan-400G has national traveling wave tube amplifiers(Project Seyyah) with improved performance. The high-voltage power supply of the national TWTA has also been nationalized (Project Kudret). BNcool delivers the cooling solution.

Kalkan I became Kalkan II, and Kalkan II will become Kalkan-400G. Aselsan stopped producing Kalkan I and will stop producing Kalkan II by the end of this year and will offer Kalkan-400G to customers for their radar needs in the class of AN/MPQ-64. Kalkan Is and IIs can be upgraded to Kalkan-400G.
Kalkan-II has a better range (>120 vs >100km), a better range against 1^m RCS targets (up to 80km vs up to 60 km), and can track more targets simultaneously(>100 vs >60) compared to Kalkan I. Kalkan-400G will be a further improvement.
