A FIRST in Türkiye! 🇹🇷
The swarm UAV technology bearing STM’s signature struck its targets with pinpoint accuracy in a live explosive test using a swarm of 20 KARGU strike UAVs. 🎯

Flying claymore galore! We'll all probably die of old age before STM makes something less directional with Kargu 😁

Awesome, probably one of the most important programs, a huge boost for TSK once they enter the inventory
I agree, this is going to give even our smaller UAVs like TB2 ability to strike land and slow aerial targets from stand-off distance. It would also make a great munition for our smaller USVs as well, and if it is as cost effective as Roketsan CEO implied, it would be very effective in a swarm.

Eren should be more expensive than sungur but way cheaper than gökdogan and with a range of 60km it could prove itself potent against these geran type Drones especially if you combine air launched and ground launched and as far as i know europe doesn't have something like that only the americans with their coyote.

I wouldn't be surprised if the radar test from earlier today was linked to this as well. That's a whole kill chain on the cheap; spectacular.
Yeah Murad + eren will make Akıncı a very valuable asset for cheap air patrol + kamikaze defence. 30+ hour loiter time plus 4-6 missiles for very low maintenance compared to fighter jets. It is slower but can make up for it with long range radar

Isn't the range supposed to be 100 km not 60?

well the weight increased to 60kg and the range decreased to 60km in their latest paper.

EREN Munition Air-to-Air Firing Test

We usually focus on bigger projects but this is something that can be manufactured and fielded in numbers and give even our smaller UAVs a way to deal with enemy armour, artillery and slow aerial assets. Imagine TB2 hunting tanks from 100 km away, outside the reach of most air defence systems. It is brilliant, hell, because it is so light we could send it with bigger cruise missiles like Çakır or Atmaca and use it to overwhelm enemy air defences.

Also, if I had to put a bet on, I'd bet we are going to see Eren on UGVs sooner or later, perfect munition for them as well.

Mate, that's not the latest, your link says 2024 catalogue while news are coming from 4 days ago are saying 35 kg with 100 km range.
