Look at us. We don't even have one indigenous helicopter or a single aircraft worthy of the name(manned) in service but we're already butting heads with the giants who have almost a century of experience. Hold your horses! We have a lot of ground to cover. This discussion can be meaningful maybe in a decade but not now.
at least T-625 and TAI Hürkuş

btw only US EU Russia Chinese French Sweden had indigenous helicopter or fighter aircraft.(indian taiwanese Korean are partly successful)

Japan F-2 for F-16 is like our T-129 for A-129

What are the problems?
I've posted on the forum before. and It's just for the Air Force* I don't want to get into the ground forces.

"Half of the equipment belonging to the Japanese Self-Defense Forces is not working. It is difficult for the ASDF [Japan Air Self-Defense Force] to prepare the necessary aircraft for formation training. The Ministry of Defense conducted an informal survey indicating that 50% of the equipment belonging to the Self-Defense Forces is operational. the remaining 25% are in maintenance, the remaining 25% are waiting for the necessary parts for repair. F-2 classified as under-budget or pending maintenance. Due to the lack of budget, spare parts are difficult to obtain and serious problems await the Japanese, such as aircraft waiting for maintenance. Although 1.1 trillion yen(7.699.890.000$) (about 20% of the total defense budget) was invested in maintenance and development in fiscal 2022, it is reported that "more than 2 trillion yen(13.999.800.000$) will be required to eliminate the backlog of maintenance". If the rate of use of aircraft belonging to the Self-Defense Forces is around 50%, it should be said that this is "quite low".

the situtation of japanese industry and armed force is very very terrible......only some old civilian industies such as TOYOTA are in good situtation

If I'm not mistaken, It has been announced that twin-engine configurations are being studied for Hürjet as like KE, and there will be or are studying on short take-off naval variants for both aircraft. Also there was a study about unmanned Hurjet. We cannot assume that a serial production decision will be made for each of these works, but on the other hand, SSB, which wants to create an industry that will compete globally, will support each of these projects until prototype production.

What I want to say is that we call the advanced training jet by the same name as, let's say, the twin-engined expanded wing area and structurally navalized aircraft, as they will be extensions of the same core-project. Officially, we have 3 jet projects. But in practice we are working on more.
I think that we should develop a single engine stealth jet (using only 1 engine of TF-X engine, developed by RR+Kale) to convert all of our F-16s (after TF-X introduction) to stealth 5th gen jets with superior sensors

Where does the wind tunnel testing took place . May be you should know properly the extent at which Turkish subsidiary of BAE system is involved in the project.
And now what relevance is there with a past work that has been done. We do have wind tunnels and all of our own. So we can be considered to be able to conduct wind tunnel tests independantly. What matters is the current and soon to be attained state of things, past foreign participation is a thing of the past.

We are using their cad/cam tool in full mode with paying millions. This does not mean that they are helping us in software!! Better be sure what you tell next time,or be ready to be correctified.

An another High Performance Computing System was installed this year to conduct MMU's aerodynamic and aeroacoustic analysis. On the production side the installation of one of the world's largest metal-electron beam DED 3D-Printers was completed this year. Two of the dozens of topics among the huge technical infrastructure investments TAI has made in the MMU program in the last few years. The supplier country of both systems is the US.

MMU is an ambitious project. When it reaches the ideal configuration, it is aimed to be one of the best jets in the world in its class. For this reason, the world's best standards must be used. Using these standards does not make the aircraft US, French, British, or Israeli.

TAI has just passed 10,000 staff. If we add up the entire MMU ecosystem, including the software electronics side, we probably won't reach 50,000. This ecosystem is currently working on at least 3 fixed wing jets, at least 3 rotary wing, at least 5 strategic and tactical class UAVs.

When these systems start mass production, the studies on computing, software interface and production tools in the background will also deepen. However, at this stage, we have to bring the state-of-art standards that are ready abroad to our country.

If you wait to all-in-house localize down to the screw to do something, you'll probably never be able to make that product. Or, to put it more accurately, the field you have to compete in should not be related to today's systems, you forget the next 30 years and try to prepare for the next age. But then we'll have to forget about the current major advances in design-testing capabilities and achievements in systems engineering.

When the TF-X will be operational and mature enough, then potentially, we will be able to say if it is one of the best or not, but we are not here yet. Also many nations have decades of experience regarding the aviation industry, so there's also that. When Turkiye will be able to integrate their own radars, sensors and engines to their manned fighters and fly safely, then we will consider Turkiye as a major player in the aviation industry. For now it's not the case and we still need to wait a few years. :)

There is no "we will consider Turkiye as a major player" in reality it is about Independence
When come to country own survival "major player" people will not care

It is your problem if yo don't understand !! You are the one mixing up with design software and aircraft software!! TFX software is belongs to us 100 percent. It's operation software and flight software!

My 2cents on the Software from Dassault, I know a thing or two about it because the Software that I'm selling is often used in combination with PLMs.

Its not a design tool and no it can not be compared to CAD, as someone mentioned. A PLM is so much more and there are only 2 that I'm aware of in the class of Dassaults, the other one being from Siemens.

Did Turkiye take a software to design the TFX and from his opppnent France ?! Thats too risku , As i understand Turkiye bought 'adobe photoshop' to make a photo (TFX) but thats french software can have spy codes inside i hope our programmers check for spyware 🤦‍♂️

Yep, TUSAŞ used to have catia and beside that it bought plm to make digital twin etc.
What we discuss here is whether TFX software is getting help from outside or not. I am saying no!!
We make our TFX software fully.
It is not related with software we use to design or for plm
