Hope we gonna see that fella soon
As soon as possible I hope. As I'm slowly starting to forget the minor things I saw. Looking forward to the lengthy debates all forum members will be having regarding the aircraft. So much to talk about. I'm putting my bets on this month. Let's see how it goes.

TFX ?
They are not even similar size.
I haven't seen the part he says so.
From 2:40.
I think he means the TF-X engine not TF6000 but it's not clear. If so, did TEI won the tender? Because he says talks are continuing with TUSAS to test the new TF-X engine on TF-X.

There won't be a single company, negotiations with RR is to get them into a organisation which nearly all of Turkish engine producers are in

TEI entered a completely new era after the TS-1400. And TF-6000 project is in a way a feasibility and technology demonstration of TEI for the MMU.

Would be more logical to test it on Hurjet than MMU. I think there is a misunderstanding.
Hurjet is single engined. There is always a risk factor when it comes to these tests. It would probably work better as the engine diameter is smaller, however what's going to happen if you lose the engine all of a sudden? You would not only lose the engine itself but also the airframe.

He says there is a misunderstanding, we will discuss this issue with Tusaş and evaluate the options. He also mentions other testing practices around the world. It will most likely be tested on a twin-engine jet plane or an old passenger plane.

TEI general manager talks about two engines whose development phase is still in progress.
  • Tf6000/10000
  • MMU engine (perhaps called the Tf35000) and their tests, which will produce 35000lb thrust

He mentions that after ground tests of the Tf6000/10000 are over, it is essential to carry out the tests in the sky to ensure the performance of engine in the real environment and for this, one of the engines of a twin-engine aircrafts is generally removed and the method of integrating the engines that are under development such as the Tf6000/10000 is installed. He didn't specify whether Tf6000 will be integrated on TFX in reportage.

but He states that there will be an MMU engine (Tf35000) which will be much larger than Tf6000 and more difficult to test on field and air and in this context, talks with TAI are continuing to make aerial test of this engine on twin engine TFX, one engine of which will be f110 and the other is Tf35000 in Tfx.

Mr. Temel Kotil talked about the TfX roadmap and in fact, the method described by Mr. AKŞIT confirms Mr. Kotil for the national engines to be developed and integrated into TFX quickly.

Mr. Kotil told that By 2028, 14 TF-X prototypes will be built. Two of these 14 aircraft will be built with domestic engines (Tf35000). 12 prototypes will be powered by F110

In order to keep this calendar, domestic engines will have to be integrated within 1 year after TFX's first flight in 2025, and after 2 years of flight tests, optimized national engines will need to be ready in 2 TFX until 2028.

At some point in the video the conversation turns to the TS1400 engine tests on the Gökbey helicopter and its integration by TAI which will likely be made in an expedited manner.

Assuming that the development project was signed in 2018, it is an acceptable roadmap to start flying on TFX by 2026 and to be ready for delivery in 2028. 1-2 years of delay can be tolerated as long as there is no problem with the F110 delivery.

You don't believe that do you? Take Temel Kotil's words about timelines with a pinch of salt. He is not very technical. Mahmut Akşit has more credibility in that regard. It would be a great achievement if we saw TF6000 flying by 2026. Flying a non-existent TF35000 by that time? It's impossible, out of question unless RR is somehow involved.

No one has the slightest idea of the work being done in the background, nor are we in a position to judge the knowledge that Temel Kotil has about ongoing projects. Everyone is commenting on their own assumptions in those matters so no opinion matters other than the words from authorized mouths. These issues are not issues that are open to the public so we will wait and see the accuracy of the roadway given by the authorities when the time comes.
