“If Turkey can’t make an ejection seat for aircrafts then it can not build the TFX”
That is a bold statement. Mr Kotil is probably trying to send a message to the Turkish industrialists to get their act together and help in jointly building the national fighter. He goes on saying who in Turkey will produce two ejection seats per month? The main point here is to create a mechanism to pull in the right companies in to producing and developing speciality equipment.

Turkey aslo can order 800-1000 ejection seats in just 1-2 years after that even if US put sanctions Turkey have them for itself and for exports.
If US dont accept this kind of agreement than better to develop one in Turkey.

Sure, but would TFX fail as a national aircraft because of the engine or the ejection seat ?

The world's leading ejection seats manufacturer is based in UK, its called Martin Baker.
Haven't ever heard that ejection seats were embargoed and neither do we have bad relations with the UK.

Those flags looks more like suppliers of components.. I don't think target market is USA or Turkey.. They look like the flags of suppliers on that picture, partners.

There is Philippine as well, do you think Philippine company supply any components ??

USA is seeking affordable fighters to complement their high cost F 22 and F 35, there is news about that already

It is not about the world's leading ejection seats manufacturer. It is foreigner and at moment mean unreliable and known embargo county (example Bayraktar UAV)

When we look last 10 years almost all so called Alies put embargoes even UK did. They are looking very closely on Turkiye development phase and WHEN specific step/maleston is Reached then They/Allies apply new embargoes (example Hisar A+ . System was ready and then embargo on specific componet this lead to 3 months delay in order to our companies to build own variant ).
This is the next level of EVIL approaches from our psudo Allies and THIS is the main issue here. Which is driving the problem and our Managers try to be pro active by foreseeing this kind of shits.

So by saying this "Haven't ever heard that ejection seats were embargoed and neither do we have bad relations" . It is mean that you just ignored all history last 10 years and you going to follow naivety .
I hope people like you be not allowed to get major decisions "

TFX is heavy weigh fighter right ? Similar like F 15 so there maybe they feel that there is still market from Turkey Air Force.

So I take it that Aselsan will be also responsible for the helmet?

With all the aeronautical knowledge Turkey would have gained with Hurkus/Hurjet/TFX - I doubt Turkey would consider KFX. Especially with the amount of foreign systems on KFX which all subject to export controls from third parties.

There are feasibility studies on single engine fighters TAI could use, if such a fighter is required on lighter scale..

What is so complicated about the ejection seat? Why it is hard to develop?

Compare it with TFX...

Biggest problem we have is engine....

GE, Safran,Boeing, Lockheed, BAE, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, Honeywell, Stirling Dynamics, L3 Harris and list goes on. They forget Airbus maybe :D ?

We used some foreigner software for the design of the fighter, ther is not much indiginous about the KFX.

If we make a list like this how many foreigner companies will we see with TFX?

We should stop positively when it comes to weapons , turkey is still suffering because of that in the altay tank project when germany stayed quite and when everything was ready they embargoed the power pack .
They should always think about the worse case scenarios because positive thoughts will cause damages in time money and even make the current situation unpredictable and unstable
