Makes more sense, I never heard SWIR can function as long range IRST. It mostly detects reflected Infra-red Similar to visible light if I am not mistaken.LWIR?
How does this eots work?
How does this eots work?
It's newer inside. Greatest advantage tho is as it's basically embedded in the hull, it has a tiny effect on radar signature and doesn't take up a slot under the body on pylons. A stealth fighter with a targeting pod wouldn't be stealth as it's not "clean".How does EOTS compare to targeting pods?
Unlike targeting pods It lacks TV imagery, and SWIR.How does EOTS compare to targeting pods?
I do not believe that is being worked on currently, no. A two-seater is in the works.@MADDOG
Are we working on VTOL for our MMU?
Not on our own, but maybe with RR.I do not believe that is being worked on currently, no. A two-seater is in the works.
Hmmm... I doubt it.Not on our own, but maybe with RR.
Or it might a little bit.The design won't change much, no.
Now that is very interesting. I wonder if they are planning for it to be a drone controller for KE and Anka-3 as they accompany TF-X, not to fly them but give them orders to follow or something like that.A two-seater is in the works.
IMO they can do with only a single pilot by offloading the flying duties to the AI and let the pilot just manage drones/weapons/sensors/etc. So I think the 2-seat version will be purely a trainer. Now that is very interesting. In that case I'd like to order one pair of all moving v-tails, as in GCAP. Thank youOr it might a little bit.
