Much I know hypersonic wind tunnel is only available with us , Russia , china and India .

Supersonic are available with a lot of countries ,where do turkey stand ?

All I saw were reports on the second biggest wind tunnel but that's subsonic so won't be good if you wanna test your engine material etc , for your metallurgical and aerospace research a supersonic wind tunnel is a must

That's subsonic one right ?? I am asking for supersonic I e for military hardware etc , even my university have supersonic wind tunnel but that's for those small model ,not worth enough .

TÜBİTAK is working on a supersonic wind tunnel. Not much information is known about it though.

Talking of a tunnel what you are referring to?

A tunnel that can simulate the motion,landing maneuvering? Or a simple flow tunnel where the model is attached for once and tested a particular speed?
There are agreements with certain countries on that, UK & Germany mainly and some tests are conducted in there.

There are 2 small scale trisonic scientific tunnels which were used for some projects, 1 medium scale used for munitions subsonic and another medium to large scale for subsonic and trisonic too for some another projects,

TAI establishes subsonic large wind tunnel with complex abilities to simulate conditions, Tubitak works on a supersonic one and another one for the future. Until those are achieved they will be working with foreign partners (European mainly). Should i even detail how many connections those people in TAI or other scientist working in the scientific tunnels have with Europe?

That's a college one , good for basic research but for sensitive project ,not useful enough ,but good start .

The basic air flow ones are for university and for some basic data collection but for advanced research you need to simulator motion too (that's what I was referring to ) so the answer is latter one .

And any plans for hypersonic one . I read somewhere that turkey too aspire for hypersonic weapon but haven't flight tested yet , so won't it be better to have it so that cost can be reduced

Hypersonic is planned for long term and there are some basic labs for that as of now. Should it be all explicity for a proof? The priority is the basic infrastructure.

Tubitak is doing that, it is also available either in this thread of in another thread. You may not get much results searching in english; Tübitak is a scientific institution and they don't give a damn about media appearance.

Well possible but pruce difference is huge , my homecity has a windtunnel which cost about 14000 dollar , developed locally , but the one at our premier college cost 20 times it , and the one used in our research org are more expensive .


So it's a but complicated

Nope not really , hypersonic will arrive but subsonic and hypersonic will stay for decades and become more manuverable , first one to go will be subsonic but they are quite cheap especially turbofan ones .
