Mr Kotil: "Preliminary work on MMU's engine has been going on for 3 years at TRMOTOR. We've come to a certain point. The engines of someTFX to be delivered until 2028 will be Turkish engines"
I want to believe that so much, but it is such a hard task that I won't be able to until I actually see it. And then I'll possibly cry and run around screaming "Gooooooooolllllll" because I don't think I know how to celebrate something so momentous.

So it will be TRMotor and not TEI.

If they believe TRMotor could do this will be actually end up good. We should relieve TEI from some of this projects.

I think turbojet engines for missiles should be left to Kale and apparently MMU engine will be the responsibility of TRMotor. This way TEI could focus on helicopter engines and 20-25k lb engine.

Engine projects already takes too long(naturally) so we should avoid overlapping projects to save time whenever we can.

If TEI will be able to deliver the TFX engine in 5 years from now they should as well work on an aeroderivative engine for navy ships including the planned carrier ships.

TRMotor are only doing conceptual design if I’m not mistaken.

Tei is already Trmotor's major partner, with which infrastructure will Trmotor make engines? In the end, Tei will still make the engine.

This is a perfectlt valid question which I don't have any answers for. This is the reason I wrote "if they believe TRMotor could do this" If as you said TRMotor doesn't have this capacity we should stop wasting money on them and give this project to TEI.

Side note, TRMotor doesn't have to produce the engines. Design and tests are the time/money consuming part. They can operate as Tubitak SAGE. (As far as i know Roketsan is making the missiles developed by SAGE)

Personal Note: I don't believe TRMotor has this capacity but apparently TUSAS does.

I aslo dont understand who is working on MMU engines ? Tei or TRmotor . i heard for TEI they are great engine company with infrasctructure but little for Trmotor?
Are they both working separately on engine as two opponent companies racing whom will take the tender for engine ? or both working and sharing their knowledge with each other under state request ?

TR Motor owned by TUSAS also TEI owned by TUSAS 50,5% and %46,2 General Electric, %3.3 TSKGV so i think Turkish state try to get rid off from GE share thats why they will transfer technologic structure to TRMOTOR and would be produce TFX's engine under TRMOTOR.

TrMotor is the main contractor in MMU TF35K engine project. TEI has workshare as sub-contractor of TrMotor company. At the same time, some of TrMotor's shares belong to TUSAŞ. Currently, over 200 engineers are working on the design of Tf35K.

So why do we not scratch the MMU engine tender? at this point its unncessary and late anyway.
Give some work share to Kale and everyone's happy.

Most probably TRMotor is there to keep IP rights in TUSAŞ. Even the heads of TRMotor and TUSAŞ are the same person. So whatever we heard that TRMotor did this or do that, it is actually TEI.

Isn't TS-1400s IP right 100% belongs to State even though it was developed by TEI?

Until yesterday, Osman Dur was in head of trmotor. He is also the former CEO of BMC, I am glad that this task was taken away from him.

Having a Turkish company in the GE supply chain is beneficial for Turkey, especially if the relationship with the US improves, which might happen over the next 10 years since China is making headway in the middle east. India is also slowly gearing up to industrialise which means that the US will soon have multiple powers to compete with. The US will soon have to develop a more pragmatic foreign policy in the future, which will probably be beneficial for the Turkish-US relationship.

We have and will have a lot of engine projects for the future. We need to sit down and think about it. Is it good for us to give half of the money the company will earn to GE?You can say that the work done to GE now earns more than the original engine projects. But how economical will it be to buy GE's stock when the company is overvalued in the future?

GE is also the source of money for TEI. We must remember that military projects will not generate as much cash as the civil market. TEI produces many components for the civil market, and it is there primarily thanks to GE. Also, there are technologies TEI directly obtained from GE.
