I can see it already has landing gear, means it will probably fly this summer .at this rate maybe TAI will have all 6 proto ready by late 2026.
I'm really curious to the placement of the vertical stabilizers, are they still on top of the engine or did they move it to the right side

Better source. I'm 70% sure this is P0. Man second from right looks Arab, possibly during the Saudi visit. They've had no other big visits since then.

And the new prototype will likely include IRST and EOTS faceted glass enclosures.

It hasn't been long since images from the assembly line have been shared, and it is unlikely that the aircraft will be painted. And I don't think a prototype that allegedly includes major changes, no matter who or what it's for, will show itself to another state's official so early.

Also, the president's signature will only be on the GTU-0, and it will probably be displayed in the museum as well. He signed it during the naming ceremony on 1.5.2023. A classic election period...

Also on the landing gear?

There are no landing gear covers in the photo.

Most likely an old image.

For the first time since June 17, 2019, the technical specifications were updated by TAI itself.

Wingspan from 14 meters to 13.4 meters

Lenght
from 21 meters to 20.3 meters

Height
from 6 meters to 5 meters

Wing area
from 70m2 to 71.6m2

Still; 1.8 mach maximum speed, 55.000ft maximum ceiling and 60.000lb MTOW.

Edit: The calculations used F110 engines, which is reasonable considering the speed and maximum altitude, but it is strange that supercruise capability is also listed as such.

The height was never 6 meters; it was previously estimated/calculated that GTU-0 was 5.1 meters. Now, we have a late confirmation of this. Additionally, the length was calculated to be 20.2 meters, and the wingspan was 13.3 meters. Interestingly, the weight data remains constant. Considering this length is very close to the calculated dimensions for GTU-0, and we were expecting a shortening, it provides further evidence that the photo above is not recent. If it indeed represents GTU-0, the weight data—announced as approximately 25 tons—would make sense.

There might be an update with P1, or perhaps this data was deliberately shared during this period to mislead. However, it seems the actual aircraft will be only slightly longer than the F-22.

The wing area dimensions result in very low wing loading for an aircraft weighing only 60,000 lbs. Coupled with a total thrust of 72,000 lbf with thrust vectoring, the potential for impressive maneuverability is evident.

how to make sense of this hot mess? all of the defence publications jumped on it and shared it as the new prototype(including DefenceTurk). none of them questions the absurdity and serve it as it is from the horse's mouth. some(Tolga Özbek) are even scolding his followers, saying "do you think Haluk Görgün is lying"?

1. He misspoke

2. They used the wrong picture

There is no reason to lie. We all know the second aircraft, P1, is on the assembly line. Someone fucked up, the question is who and where.

yeah ofc he's not lying. there's a mixup somewhere in the chain.

what baffled me was the lack of fact checking of the defence publications. like how can you believe that this is the second prototype? why doesn't anyone raise any questions? aren't you supposed to know a little bit better than the usual, clueless spectators?

what a gullible bunch. it speaks volumes for the state of journalism in this country.

well it was a before unseen photo and it was first posted as a pixelated "leaked image" shot via phone.

What did they smoke?
In the second prototype of KAAN, it was observed that there were significant design changes compared to the first prototype, particularly with the reduction of the aircraft's nose section.

Not lying, but maybe misinterpreting.

I was going to laugh in first but this may have some logic tho. They're showing a photo saying it's P1 but most of us think it's most probably not. So there is something wrong here. Same could be for the photo from the production lane. It was told to be P1 but it may be P2 or P3 just as you say.

The first thing I noticed was not the signature on it. It was IRST and EOTS just as @KAAN noticed. It was clearly told the P1 will have these. Sure there's something weird but the question is at what point ?

The photo has a printer fighter which is not expected nor acceptable for a prototype.

P1 p2 are being produced and this was stated many times before. Haluk Gorgun states that it is P1 but maybe he wants to express that p1 is close state of being completed for further tests.
