Russian military publication Topwar, after 15 months, finally published a video of the first flight of the Turkish KAAN. Interestingly, this was done only after the announcement of its TF-35000 engine.
Article about the engine.

"Will ensure independence from the capricious West": Türkiye has shown a national engine for the Kaan fighter jet
«Turkish company TEI (TUSAŞ Engine Industries), manufacturer aviation engines, showed the first official image of the TF35000 turbofan power plant, created for the Kaan aircraft, which is positioned as a fifth-generation fighter.
The 35000-pound thrust TF35 is one of Turkey's most significant breakthroughs - says the developer.
As stated in this regard in the Turkish press, the new product of the country's defense industry "challenges existing jet engines in the West and symbolizes the transition to aerospace sovereignty." In terms of thrust, it matches the power of the F119 from Pratt Whitney on the F-22 and exceeds such products as the EJ200 on the Eurofighter Typhoon (26 thousand pounds), the M88 on the Rafale (17-20 thousand pounds) and the F110 modifications used on the F-16 and F-15 (up to 29 thousand pounds). Only the F135 engine on the F-35 with a thrust of 43 thousand in afterburner mode exceeds the TF35000.
According to TEI, the power plant was created using advanced solutions, including high-temperature-resistant superalloys, advanced thermal protection coatings and innovative cooling technologies.
The TF35000 is the result of almost two decades of work by TEI. The company previously produced subsystems and components for engines such as the T700 (used on Turkish Black Hawk helicopters and the T129 ATAK) and developed the TS1400 for domestic rotorcraft.
Currently, the Kaan prototypes and the Turkish Air Force's F-16s undergoing modernization are powered by General Electric's F110 engines. The TF35000 provides similar thrust, but guarantees sovereignty from external supplies dependent on the "capricious US and the West in general."
In a world where air supremacy increasingly depends on who owns the power plant, a national engine will allow the country to take its rightful place on the international stage. - they believe in the Turkish press».
