Ukrainian state enterprise Zorya-Mashproekt carried out installation works of gas turbine units on the Indian destroyer Visakhapatnam.
This was reported by the State Concern "Ukroboronprom".
The work reportedly involved two main gas turbine units and automatic control systems.
The work was carried out on the first ship in the 15B series of the Visakhapatnam project (D66) at the Indian company Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL).
"Despite the pandemic, the customer's task was completed in the shortest possible time," the Ukroboronprom said in a statement.

It will be recalled that in 2019, Zorya-Mashproekt signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of India for the supply of gas turbine equipment.
Among the contracted products - gas turbine engines, gearboxes, spare parts kits for ships of the Indian Navy.
The contracts also provide training for Indian gas turbine operators and technical support.
The cost of the program is estimated at $ 4.89 billion. The project is planned to be completed by 2024.

In 2015, the launch ceremony of the main destroyer squadron "Visakhapatnam", which is being built for the Navy under the "Project-15B" program, took place.
D66 "Visakhapatnam" is a further development of the destroyer "Project-15A", the first of which, "Kolkata", was adopted in August 2014.
According to the developers, more than 65% of components for shipbuilding are made in India, including DMR249 steel and 11 weapons and reconnaissance systems. The list of imported components includes four gas turbines built by the Ukrainian Zorya-Mashproekt, Russian-made propellers and shafts, various weapons, sensors and radars.
The destroyer is equipped with a ship network data transmission system of national development, which controls the platform and combat systems.
