Tesla is going for a world record in Turkiye. Deliveries will exceed 10 thousand by the end of October. The total number can reach 20 thousand by the end of the year. Nearly 8 thousand Model-Y will be delivered in just 5 months, in this respect, this could be Tesla's world record.

There is a huge demand and people cannot find vehicles, so the vehicles coming from Tesla's Germany factory are like hot cakes right now.

F4y1xovWgAAPTMR

These vehicles will be delivered to their owners in a few days.

We see the results of not being able to convince Tesla to invest in TR. The same will be seen when BYD enters the TR market strongly. More generally, BYD has the potential to disrupt the market share of traditional suppliers in the whole Europe.

With BYD-TR, TESLA-TR, and TOGG's growth plans, we could have been the largest e-vehicle production base of the entire European continent from the 2030s. It seems that we missed the opportunity for Tesla, but there is still time for BYD. The same land allocation and investment incentives offered to VW could be offered to this company on the condition that it becomes the main production centre for the European market.

There was no TOGG in the past. Therefore, it was understandable for a foreign brand to produce automobiles in Turkey. But now there is TOGG. And when foreigners open new factories here, they will narrow the domestic market. And TOGG will sell less. And they will covet our share in the countries around us.

Even the fact that it is produced in Germany means that the cost difference is opened to their disadvantage. Production costs in Turkey are much lower than in Germany. We should use the advantage we have gained over the exchange rate difference carefully against foreign companies. Therefore, we must prevent a foreign automobile company from opening a new factory in Turkey.

Our biggest problem has been that Mercedes brands such as Fiat and Ford are selling through their distributors by putting Turkey in the center. They collect all the dividends and take them away. We only have the stalk of the pear left. This should now be reversed. Now we have to get the share we deserve from the profit share with our own brand. Foreigners just make us porters. This should be reversed.

Countries such as Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Poland will increase their production share in the European market in the coming period. There is already an industrial capacity in these countries and production in these countries is very attractive for various reasons. However, their advantages are actually not that great compared to TR, while these countries use their potential to the fullest, our country has not attracted enough investment in this field. We are among the few producers in the world, but in fact, we have such a developed industrial infrastructure that we have no deficiency in order not to double the current production volumes. We have market advantage, geographical proximity, advanced sub-industry and industrial eco-system, cheap labour (unfortunately), tax advantages and customs union.

The fact that I advocate the establishment of these factories in our country is precisely a foreign market-oriented idea, so that mostly about trade defict issues. However, when it comes to the domestic market, I do not think that this will have a major market distorting effect. The number of vehicles per capita in our country is certain, the demand for vehicles in the domestic market is certain, you cannot 'pay-and-take' a vehicle today, you have to wait in line for months. Where do these vehicles come from? Through imports, so what is the drawback of producing these vehicles in our country?

If TOGG reaches 100K capacity today, it will still get a maximum of 15% of the market, but what about the remaining 80-85%? Add land to the foreign trade deficit. We can be the leader in the EUROPEAN e-vehicle market. If we become the European centre of this industry, the global position of our automotive industry as a whole will be in a higher league. Not only as a global centre with its own brands, but also as an attractive production base for global brands and as a key supplier of European e-vehicle demand.

Actually, There is no economic advantage to buying a Tesla made in China. There are many factors such as import taxes and transport. Tesla models in demand are those from Germany.

"TOGG has switched to two shifts and plans to increase the daily production number from 160 to 280 by October this year. "

That is equal to 100K cars if extrapolated to 12 months.

This doesn't add up!

This factory was supposed to have 175k annual capacity with 5 model combined. This article is implying Togg has annual capacity of 100k with only 2 shift! You calculate capacity with 3 shift. Alongside the fact that, Their previous statement that told, They will deliver 28k car this year not 20k. So It all means They can produce close 150k C-SUV, If They can sell and they can buy enough battery.

I believe, They increased their Factories overall capacity to probably 350k (at least) but They haven't made that information public. Considering, There over 15k order they haven't fulfilled yet. İt make sense. We will learn, when it is appropriate.

They will produce 28 thousand this year, but will reach their annual production capacity of 100 thousand in October. Beware of the calendar effect. After the end of the year, these numbers do not mean anything for this year.

I worked in Automative industry for years and One of my responsibilities was capacity planning. Article clearly states 160 car per shift which means 144k annual capacity with 2 weeks stoppage. And I know their previous capacity estimates which I cant share because of NDAs. Also Alongside with their 28k number while only delivering 3,5k until september. Anybody can clearly calculate they changed their plans even without knowing their previous capacity estimates.

As both an investor and supplier of Togg, Vestel develops and supplies a wide range of equipment for electric cars, from displays to driving computers. The company, which has even started to cooperate with world giant automobile manufacturers, demonstrated 4-dimensional solutions in its main products, televisions, and the most efficient models in their segments in white goods. Narrated by Erdi Özüağ:

A vlog about Özüağ's observations at the Togg factory. observing the production process on site. The Togg Technology Campus, a new generation production facility built on a huge area, is one of the most advanced factories in the field of automation, where many robots work.

Is there any work on localizing the EV Motor? If so, which company is developing it? Currently, the company imports the motors from Bosch.

3,567 #T10Xs have met with our users in October, and a total of 9,171 #T10Xs have met our users since May, when we started delivery.

It looks like, They might miss their 20k target but They definitely will get very close to it, They might even catch it.. Regardless, In any case This is huge success and None of the EV start up in anywhere succeeded getting close to their targets.

No oil!!!

While rapid charging stations aren't wide spreaded, Turkish Automotive industry should consider range extenders or generators. AFAIK in Europe EV owners aren't satisfied with charge opportunities.
