They should have supported the EV project from KKTC and built additional production facilities to mass produce and offered that smaller car as alternative to TOGG.
It's too late now.

They produced and delivered 6k cars in Dec 2023. That would make over 70k cars annual production rate even if there were no improvements made to the production line in 2024. And yet they sold only 30k cars in 2024. TOGG won't be a success story unfortunately. Their competition is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of cost efficiency due to their high vertical integration. TOGG is as helpless as the European car manufacturers.Togg sold 30093 cars in 2024 that is over 50% increase compare to 2023.

What Togg really need is strategic partner. Basically every Automotive brand is either owned by large group or has strategic partnerships. For instance, Renault is working with Nissan, that is must in this industry. While Togg starts this partnership it needs to have strong hand. For Instance, Malaysia has 2 different automotive brands, Perodua and Proton with 250k and 150k sales respectively. Togg has 2 new car design, Instead of designing all the models locally. For instance, Togg can design 3 model and Perodua can design 3, All different segment models. And Both side can produce each others design even sell some parts to each other. This would give large selection of models to both side, And Both side would lower their costs significantly. Imho, Togg needs this kind of partnership in the next few years. They produced and delivered 6k cars in Dec 2023. That s too big and too expensive for Turkish citizensThey produced and delivered 6k cars in Dec 2023. I really don't understand why Türkiye doesn't support and help https://www.gunsel.com.tr/b9/Starting a car company is very difficult. China supports its brands with big subsidies, giving them a huge advantage. On the other hand, many countries, including us, follow different rules. We avoid directly helping our companies, make sure tenders are open and fair, and do not favour any single company. It’s really hard for TOGG to compete with these big players. We don’t have China’s money or the reputation of European brands. Even the biggest Japanese carmakers are merging to survive in this tough market.
The only way to compete with China is through economies of scale. We’ve placed tariffs on Chinese cars, but they are challenging this at the WTO.
Or as someone suggested a merger with another brand.
Germany has a lot of 2nd hand EV due to some kind of economic handout, so people are buying EV much cheaper and then returning them after a while. As I can understand the economic handout isn't returned, so getting a 2nd hand EV from Germany is very attractive. My friend got an ID4 for around 50k Euro with all the gadgets possible. If the price is not reasonable €35-40k and the range not at least 500km for the standard then don't enter the European market at all.
Why should a German pick the TOGG T10X instead a VW ID4 or Tesla-Y?
Why does Dacia currently for example is selling cars like warm bread and why will BYD dominate the market in the coming years?
What is their situation now?It seems delayed and delayed?I really don't understand why Türkiye doesn't support and help https://www.gunsel.com.tr/b9/
Allowing production and exporting to Türkiye would have been bloody amazing, and we'd have an option different to TOGG. Unless of course there are restrictions on export due to the components being used in making Günsel.
