"Based on". Bukovel is mainly against GNSS because they made it against Russians. No reason to doubt they updated the system for their own possible needs.
Do you know an EW system, which is based on another system, with much better specs compared to the system it is based on?
They can't develop such a "simple" EW system on their own, but they are able to adjust it? GNSS jamming is nothing special.

Imo it doesn't really matter how much they upgrade it the system is good for what it is but isn't groundbreaking by any means. There are several Turkish systems that serves the similar purpose with more advanced methods and even then they aren't talked about that much because they aren't seen as a big deal.

Reported overflights, dogfights after 2 years, shows of force and Güler's recent bayram message from a barracks in Edirne. Seems region is going hot again.

Is it a coincidence that all of this happens as the governments approval hits an all time low and opposition is getting disintegrated illegally?

It's all bs, just like Erdoğan's constant saber rattling at Netanyahu.

Hate to be so negative, but foreign policy has been reduced into a tool for domestic gain. You'll constantly hear about Somalia this, gas that, and for what real benefit? We're doing the US favors in return for being tolerated. Look at Syria. WE kicked out Iran and now Israel has free reign to do whatever they want. I'm tired of pretending like we're not part of the plan to reshape the middle east for US interests.

And now we're supposed to believe all the kind words Erdoğan says about Iran's resistance, all bs.

Even if we had 300 Kızılelma's right now, nothing would change. This government has made so many empty threats, destroyed the image of Türkiye, done politcal stunts that have absolutely destroyed our credibility and the value of the Lira.

PKK was on its last legs and once again it was saved at the last moment. Now it's recouping its losses whilst having more political power than ever before.

I don't believe a single thing this government says or does anymore.

Previously we would threaten war and it would be taken seriously. Now our neighbors are arming up and we can't do a single thing about it.

As pleased as I am with some defence industry developments, even they're not sacred to the effects of corruption, as we've seen with the YILDIRIMHAN and GÜÇHAN situation.

This trajectory isn't good at all.

What do you want a war? The next step is war, ther is no other way they want all the share off the cake. Let the status quo and play the game.

My point is, in the past when we threatened war, that threat was taken seriously. Both Greece and Syria in the 90s backed down completely.

Now Greece is more bold than ever and Southern Cyprus is arming up.

The law, "MAVI VATAN", in the light of International Law.

"The main arguments of the Turkish side are two.

1. Islands do not have the right to an EEZ and a continental shelf.

2. It is not possible for a huge, landlocked country like Turkey not to have corresponding maritime rights in the region.

The second argument resembles, not to say that it is exactly the same, as the logic of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany, regarding "Living Space"!!! Of course, this goes against all common sense and of course every concept of international law.

Turkey's military mentality is governed by the certainty of victory. That is, it does NOT make any military move unless it is first certain that it will emerge victorious from it. Greater proof of what I am mentioning is its invasion of Iraq and Syria, which took place ONLY when these two states had disintegrated, see Iraq, or when they had a strong sense of Government instability, see Syria.

Turkey cannot claim that its maritime space is disproportionate to its land size, because it has accepted this fact by signing the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923."

Greece invokes the 12-mile provision of UNCLOS — a convention to which Turkey is not a party — against Turkey under the banner of “international law,” while ignoring the island statuses established by treaties to which Greece itself is a party. This is not a defense of law; it is sanctifying the clauses that serve its interests while disregarding those that do not.

Considering how easily Turkish cultural elements are rebranded as “Greek” whenever convenient, perhaps the next step will be to claim that the Blue Homeland was discovered by some ancient philosopher too.

After seeing “…landlocked country like Turkey…” I stopped reading :D

Even Poseidon would rise from the sea and say: “Treating Türkiye — a country with coastlines on the Black Sea, the Aegean, and the Mediterranean — as if it were landlocked? Congratulations, you have invented a new kind of law that denies the existence of the seas themselves.”
