After the last post you need to respect this guy. You can't say annex that annex this. That land indeed belongs to Turks but first of all it belongs to Cyprus Turks and we should respect their opinion about who to govern them.

I don't think Akinci is a good guy. He is giving speeches like Greek but whatever if they want him, respect that. Talk is cheap. He is a politician after all. He can say all but after the election he does nothing.

But if you diminish their identity... I mean we have a lot of enemies in the ME, I don't want one more enemy.

Unfortunately AKP made a lot of opposition in Turkey more radical. People voted PKK proxy HDP despite of Erdogan. And that religious rhetoric have may scared the KKTC folks.


Respect them and let them be. But be careful. Stop saying annex please

Since we're giving North Cyprus to North Cypriots, let's also give Izmir to Izmirians, Istanbul to Istanbulians and Trabzon to Trabzonians.

Cyprus has been TURKISH since 1571, and will remain Turkish!

Are you real? Did I say that? Are Turkeys provinces and Cyprus in the same status?

They were a country and then Greeks had started to kill Turks. We helped our relatives and brothers. They made a new movement for freedom as well ( TMT Türk Mukavemet Teşkilatı) and after all battle KKTC formed. And we know them as a sovereign country.

I am not saying that we should let the leaders make their decision and do whatever they want. I don't think anyone in KKTC want to be a part of Cyprus without Turkeys OK. If someone comes up and says that we should give some of the land to Greeks, I don't think anyone(Turkey or KKTC) will let them.

Most people favours status quo or recognition. But constant push from Turkey is changing minds here.. A lot of pressure, change in lifestyle happening.. We had unlocked doors for years, Now MOBESES everywhere, new mosques and imam hatips. People are afraid to lose their freedom. On the other side Greeks are racist and religious as hell, so literally Turkish Cypriots feel squeezed in between. It is so strange (without hiding) Turkish Government is intervening North Cyprus in this election, either they are incompetent in doing this or playing with us.. I mean alienating people here, creating negative public opinion in Turkey.. I also think that They might sell us soon in the table and they are building the stage. All these things just increased reunification support dramatically.. might be a staged play

It is forbidden to do polls during the election period. Gezici also did it, and there is an investigation about that. In the last day of election and election day (today) a lot of disgusting things happened here. It could be a controversial election.
