If they wanted to deploy F-35 fighter jets at Incirlik Air Base, it means that the Russian-NATO tension has already left behind the Turkish-US tensions.

What will be the impact of Ukrainian conflict for CATSA sanctions and open/hidden embargoes?

Will US/EU ease on export licenses (tech transfers etc.) ?

Impact of F16 acquisition, and whatever is left from F35 program?

I would buy everything Turkish made and develop those that we do not already have be it a little later does no matter. It will be cheaper to make domestic if you have to use more than a couple of them. Let's not take shortcuts and buy foreign making domestic gives the capability and supports national economy. Just a reminder we are still under 2% GDP limit while we are doing everything domestic.

US will not give back the money. At best they will find something to barter, but no planes nor cash.
maybe better if they give Turks the Patriot know how for missile. The Turks buy s-400 because they cant get Patriot

The Patriot missile(PAC-3MSE) is a great missile. It is a very agile and accurate hit-to-kill missile. Patriot radar is shit and it is the real problem. It performs similar to Aselsan's Kalkan-I radar with a lot worse EW resistance. Soon, the US will switch to a new GaN-based AESA radar.

how about Turkish F-16 Viper option to buy? are the senate is clear to Turks?
Ismail Demir said: from our point of view, the f35 issue is closed.

i think a similar situation will be experienced with the new f16 b70 purchases.

i do not think that Turkiye will order military weapons from the US for a long time.

For f16s, "they would delay it long enough that it does not make sense anymore" kind of approach seems to be the way. They would never openly reject LOR. Othervise, it would be disaster for any Nato ally to rely on US. It will give an upper hand to Russia that allies are not safe enough in the shield.

the meaningless decisions of the US brought Turkiye closer to China and Russia. if they continue like this, they will lose Israel too.

Turkey should try to re-join F-35 project, not to buy some F-35 but produce the spare part.
began the part of global supply chain in these predicted most used aircraft in coming decade very useful and pump lot money to Turkey. rather than just make and produced instead produced spare part that need for F35 aircraft.

as I reconnect in 2020, RAF F35 is serviced and maintenance in Turkey also to change Turkey for produced F35 part after kikcked out, need until 2021 to replace all Turkish company that produced spare part

at least Turkey can get more part to produce sparepart so Turkish get bargaining chip

The US Navy has revealed the inability of fifth-generation F-35 fighters to withstand sea salt. Rust stains have become visible on the planes, there is corrosion of the outer skin.

Interesting article on F35. Basically claiming that it is the best fighter aircraft on earth today, and explaining why!

Bullet points :
1. One aircraft three different uses. Conventional, Carrier Use and VSTOL
2. In stealth mode during first days of war. Then transforms in to Beast mode as a bomb truck.
3. With modular architecture, it has efficient hardware upgrades that reduce lifecycle and retrofit costs. Hence is being upgraded and updated both electronically and structurally as well as in terms of it’s software, continually.
4. It is also far more cost-effective to operate fewer types of aircraft, plus the F-35 can streamline training operations and require fewer suppliers making it more financially beneficial.

We need to look at these positive points and produce our TFX by emphasising these positives.
Then we need to look at all the problems this plane is having and the downsides whereby they are cleverly omitted from this article. And make sure that we have answers for those negatives in our TFX.
Once we achieve that, we will have a world class fighter plane in our hand.
But nothing in the world, can give the versatility of a F35.
Specifically the No1 bullet point. That puts this plane truly in a class of it’s own.

I wouldn't say it's exactly one aircraft, It has 3 different models for these three uses.

We can make the conventional and carrier versions and we can make a smaller unmanned version of the VTOL model. It will take 10 years to get all three.
