Mam-c is cirit without a rocket engine ..so its lighter .. so no need to use cirit as mam-c acheive the same range and the rocket propulsion is replaced by free fall

The reason I asked was because it was listed on wiki, but lately we’ve talked about using UAV/UCAV in A2A encounters, in that regard it’d be good to have a drone hunter up in the sky. Although speed isn’t high being capable of hunting targets is still important. To that end even cirits could be useful against other drones.

Cirit is a laser guided missile without enough maneuverability !! No way it could be used as a2a !! This is sungur's role ? Sungur if is thrown from uavs can reach 15-20 km rang and would be perfect for uavs imo

But that is surely only True if UAV have same sensors and arrays against enemies in the sky As regular jets.

Sungur's type missiles need only thermal camera ..no radars required
Some armies are so dumb they couple VSHORAD missiles with simple radars right?
For aerial launches it is right, for land-based applications a radar is a must to ensure which direction missile will be fired.

Radars enhance the accuracy and the range but is not a must

The biggest difference is the engine. Havelsan UAV has an electrical engine and an endurance of around 2-2.5 hours. Baykar DIHA has a 2 stroke combustion engine.

This doesnt make them two different categories .. both have the same MTOW which is 30kg ..the same payload~5kg .. so if they gonna compete for a tender ... Baykars will easily beat it .. the rang is very important here

What if the tender you speak of states electrical propulsion as a requirement. Electrical propulsion has its own advantages. Havelsan UAV is developed for specific needs. Baykar DIHA will be used on ships and artillery batteries that need more range. Havelsan BAHA will be mostly used by infantry units for short-range recon missions. It is silent it has no IR signature and it is cheaper it doesn't need maintenance. It is stationed between Baykar mini UAV and Baykar DIHA.
