Damn, I was expecting to see a low-observable-oriented prototype for radar testing. While it's general shape does help reduce its radar signature, the body construction is quite rough compared to the Kaan and F-35, for example. Modern radars can pick up the radar returns from that panel gaps and bulky-ish screws.

Also Toygun EOTS, MURAD radar isn't ready yet. Will it use the T-Link? Can you mass produce a plane without avionics it will use on it?

There is an interesting rush regarding Kızılelma. I have a feeling that Ukraine will receive those and use them

What about RAM painting? Any news?
Without RAM, low observatory will not be at the level to be demanded.

If exports to Ukraine is in question hi-specs of Kızılelma can be delayed until large number procurement by TurAF comes up as Ukraine needs whatever is available. Also Ukraine models can be provided without Türkiye specific requirements. Same specs may apply for exports to other countries than Ukraine as well.

Selcuk Bayraktar:
The tests of the production prototype of KIZILELMA will be completed and mass production will begin this year as planned.

Did you read what you posted? The article is from 21.05.2024
And i think some members here did not read it too.

Oh, I was wrong.
I quoted the wrong article. Already changed it.
Thank you!

Your post is still misleading.
This is what Selcuk Bayraktar says:

"The third prototype of the Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which is the production prototype, successfully completed its first flight today. It was a short test flight. Our tests will continue from here. May it be beneficial and auspicious for our homeland and nation."

The rest is only what the writer of the article says.

RAM isn't the most important thing for stealth. Shape of the aircraft is the most important thing, then the construction quality of the body, then the RAM coating.

And Aselsan already has RAM paint and other products that can help with RCS.

They were also a part of a NATO workshop (or something like that) on radar absorbing materials where they showcased their paint, I used to have the link for that but I can't find it now. So, at least we are more than likely covered in that area.

Edit: Finally found it, fucking hell I was beginning to think I hallucinated it.

Demiroğlu also provided information on the current status of Turkey's first delta-wing unmanned combat aircraft, ANKA III, stating, "ANKA III is a platform with very high stealth capabilities, characterized by its delta wing design, making it difficult to fly and design. It will perform its first public flight here. We have conducted demonstration flights and test flights. They will perform formation flying here."

Noting that the tests for ANKA III regarding firing support with two platforms, stealth level, maneuverability, envelope expansion, and altitude are ongoing and progressing successfully, Demiroğlu said:

"We plan to complete the first development phase by the end of this year, and we want to make a trial delivery to the Turkish Air Force. We want them to try it out, see it, and evaluate it. After that, we will move on to mass production. We are very pleased with the current progress. We will all enjoy watching its flight together. We really love ANKA III because it truly brings great pleasure to people, especially to us engineers, with its appearance and flight."

I can say the following about Alpin and our unmanned helicopter: Our talks are ongoing not only with the Land Forces but also with the Gendarmerie. At the same time, our work continues with the Naval Forces on the system we call GIHA, which autonomously lands and takes off on ships. As you know, we signed a deck finder contract with Airbus at the last fair. The purpose of this was to enable our aircraft to land and take off autonomously on mobile sea platforms on the deck.”

Guess we have a key issue here to take care of i.e Airbus deck finder... I am not against any cooperation if we can yet localizing this capability for precise, reliable and safe automatic take-off and landing in extreme weather conditions, day and night for our unmanned helicopters is more preferable
