Bad title, pretty okay video.

Yeah I just saw the clickbait, watched the video later.
Must agree that downfall was a very ‘dramatic’ choice of a title but he didn’t attribute the so called Bayraktar hype as a propaganda outlet of Turkish defense industry but rather a natural outcome as an adequate and competent force multiplier at certain conditions at various battles.

I like this guy’s videos ever since he debunked (to a very good and credible degree) the Me109’s fatal design flow of its landing gears.

Comment on the video early, polite and substantive.
I'm not sure if we're capable of that. Just clicked the link and saw many angry, obnoxious comments from Turks. There must be an army of teenage Turks that are seeking validation from foreigners and any non-positive remark is countered with fierce attacks from them. it must be exhausting to leave any comment about a Turkish thing because of the ensuing shit show.

Yeah I just saw a video about Saudi Arabia's 2030 plan and the guy was talking about how the Saudis aren't on track for any of the goals, etc. and the comments were all Saudis just hurling insults at the guy, not one of them countering the arguments or the data. You can learn a lot about a country's human capital and educational standards from social media comments alone.

Oh bro, don’t get me started.
A new social media outlet should be invented just to calm them down and teach them to comprehend a body of text they read and how to listen an argument and capture the point of it.

Ukraine wasn't even the are that TB-2 operated most. Ask Africans about the supposed "downfall of Bayraktar".

African states are also learning that it's not TB2 that's special, but the doctrine it's used as a part of, with highly advanced C2I components and the highly trained light infantry units, supported by artillery, helicopters and most importantly political capital. Just striking targets with TB2s don't achieve much. Gendarme for example, uses them as recon and strike assets, always supported by air insertion with helicopters to eliminate the threats.

Chris has a point in the video, although it's a clickbait bullshit. There's nothing special with TB2 alone, except for its very low cost compared to contemporaries thanks to COTS parts which makes it attritable when needed. It's how you use it that matters.

concerns the gentleman stated in the video are legit...yet I am glad that we can see that we are learning some lessons from setbacks we have encounterd , for instance ASELSANS EW pods is a good example for the fact that we are at least learning from setbacks and responding to them.

roughly speaking so far there are 4 distinct periods or better to say distinct cases distinguishing themselves in drone warfare

-Cold war early drons mainly in resonance roles

-Predator and Reaper in US war against terrorism

-MALE and Sucide drones in Nagorno - Karabah

-cheap mass produced drones of Russian - Uranian war... for every succesful hit there are multiple faluiers but it doesnt matter...they are doing the job

TB-2's success mainly originates from a distinct set of circumstances. It's in the context of peripheral wars. But the catch is, peripheral wars are what is commonplace. I'd even argue current Israel shenanigans are also largely a peripheral war. Those involve smaller nations or non-state actors in a proxy war or insurgency context. Militias, mercenaries, third-rate militaries, intelligence agencies, embedded special forces, technicals, a variety of ATGMs, cold war armor, redneck style artillery and small amounts of gimmicky high-tech gadgets characterize that particular type of conflict. In that context TB-2, as well as the current Turkish doctrine shines the most. In fact, I would argue Turkish military is the current best at that particular kind of war, (bar the political limitations). If one looks at Libya or numerous Syrian operations, militarily speaking, the proportion of cost and effort spent versus the war goals achieved is pretty striking.

I sometimes wonder what would be different if US had similar doctrine during GWoT era. They certainly had the technology to do it in 2003.

Regrding the video, I understand why people get frustrated with westerners about this kind of stuff. Their commentary always include some undertone of "Turks are subhuman apes who can't possibly produce technology". It's the quiet part, they don't say it out loud.

One of the biggest component we are waiting for :) At least I was waiting. Incredible to see that all parts are being produced and one by one they are going to assembled.

”KAAN, KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 are getting the stealth internal EOTS technology that is only found in F-35 in the world.

Here is the TOYGUN EOTS system developed by Aselsan for our national warplanes.”

The language of the tweet painted Feridun Hoca as a chauvinist rather than the rational person he is. He didn’t say, “According to our findings.” Instead, he simply adjusted the radar equation using publicly available variables.

People like this on social media are damaging Turkey’s credibility and reputation.
