Baykar CTO Selçuk Bayraktar: We are at the contract signing phase with 10 countries.
Big cash will flow to the Baykar. I hope Baykar decides to use Aselsan Aselflir-F500C when it becomes available.

TB3 visuals seem to be fanmade and specs are off from Baykar's announcement.
Baykar > 1200kg
Fanmade > 1450kg

I was wondering that the landing gears are foldable or not.. It has a stronger suspension to absorb the touch force. It is quite possible that the wind'll negatively affect it. Is there anything i missed about the tb3's landing gear? any information or something?

I didn't know that the CTO of Baykar makes official company presentations with fanmade graphics and specs.

The pictures bear the badge of Gebze Technical University Aviation Club.

Most likely a folding type, 99%.

Although it would make sense if TB3 is to us PD180 then an MTOW of 1450 is more likely. But this brings TB3 to Anka MTOW levels and create a major overlap of capabilities. But that's OK.

Baykar uses 'TOW' and 'MTOW' inconsistently. Sometimes the quoted weight is the real MTOW and sometimes its more like gross weight. The Akinci has an 'official' MTOW of 5.5 tons but it has taken off and flown for more than 13 hours with more than 6 tons of TOW.

Akıncı started its journey with 4.5 tons of MTOW in feasibility studies. It was understood that Akıncı's MTOW reached 5.5 tons in prototypes. It is estimated that the MTOW of Akıncı with a 750hpx2 engine will exceed 6tons.

MIUS started its journey with 3.5 tons of MTOW in feasibility studies. It was later revealed that MIUS's MTOW will be 5.5 tons at the design stage. It has been noted that this aircraft will accelerate to supersonic speeds in the next blocks, so I wonder what the actual MTOW value of the prototypes is.

MIUS has the same length (14m), wingspan (10m) and wing area (24m2) but half the weight of a Hurjet with half the thrust (9300/17700=52%). With the low wingload of 230kg/m2 at 5500kg TOW and canards, it will out turn any manned fighter.

Akinci-A: 2x 450hp Multi-role variant
Akinci-B: 2x 750hp Heavy armed variant
Akinci-C: 2x 180-220hp Long endurance variant

Note: Mr. Bayraktar stated that Turkey will have domestic gas turbine engines to power Akinci-like drones in near future. Turkish institutes are working on them.

Turkey’s Baykar preparing shipborne fleet of combat drones

Turkish drone maker Baykar has released new details about its newest armed drone, designed to launch from ships packed with unmanned aircraft.
“The Bayraktar TB-3, which is still in development, will be a larger and more capable model in the same family as the TB-2,” the company’s chief technology officer, Selcuk Bayraktar, said during an Aug. 4 online presentation sponsored by Gebze Technology University.
“When we began this project, no fixed-wing UAV could take off from LHD-class, short-runway ships,” he explained, using shorthand for unmanned aerial vehicles and landing helicopter dock naval vessels. “We believe that the TB-3, which can stay in the air for an extended period and is equipped with ammunition, will fill a gap in this field,” Bayraktar said.
The new TB-3 drones are slated to ride aboard Turkey’s future Landing Helicopter Dock Anadolu.
Bayraktar also noted that the ship doesn’t need sophisticated launch and trap systems, adding: “A simple roller system and rescue nets would be enough for secure takeoff and landing, and it can even land without a rescue net.”
According to TurDef, a Turkish online defense website, the roller system will be powered by an electric motor. During landing, the drone will be secured with nets. Because the propellers are located at the back of the platform, no moving parts would be damaged during this process, the thinking goes.
The new armed drone will have a takeoff weight of 1450 kilograms and will be able to fly 24 hours a day, according to an infographic in the presentation. In addition, the TB-3 will be able to fly at high altitudes, and its wings will fold when on the ship. It is scheduled to take to the skies for the first time in 2022.
Selcuk Bayraktar also stated that MIUS, an unmanned combat aircraft currently in concept design, would operate alongside the TB-3 on the LHD Anadolu. A MIUS prototype is planned to fly in 2023. LHD Anadolu would deploy two types of fixed-wing unmanned air assets once trials were completed.

As previously reported by Defense News, the Turkish government hopes to convert its landing helicopter dock Anadolu into a carrier ship for attack drones because the Turkish navy lost the ability to launch a fixed-wing aircraft from Anadolu after the United States removed Turkey from the F-35 project. After the project is completed, at least ten armed drones could be used in operations simultaneously and integrated into a command-and-control center on the ship. Anadolu will be capable to deploy between 30 and 50 Bayraktar TB3 folding-wing drones.
