There were some rumours that Turkey would get 4 Ukrainian An-124 cargo planes in return for 18 TB2.

That would be excellent. Those cargo planes can carry up to 150 tons of cargo, and has a big cargo area even bigger than C-5 Galaxy. We should immediately launch a project to upgrade them with Aselsan/Western avionics if they have Russian avionics. 4 An-124 will give us much-needed strategic airlift capability. TAF can airlift 400 tons to extreme distances with 4 AN-124. That is a lot. We can also modernize them with CF-6 engines TEI can step in to do the job.

Well, in previous 3 wars there were not any serious airforce against. Though performance of RuAF is not any better.

There is one famous writer in Japan. Regarding the defense industry. When he wrote that, I think it got people's reaction, but later on, many articles were written against what that author wrote, saying that TB2 was actively used and was successful. What he said wasn't too unreasonable, but he had underestimated TB2.
