Why Mali?

I dont want to be a hater but that country has collapsed.

How can we be so sure these Tb2s will scrapped if not destroyed by corruption?

Who changed Mali? Turkey ;)
But they keep it secret and try to make it look like Russia did and made them invite wagner. Same in Chad and latest Burkino Faso ;)

Its good Turkiye is making its way into West Africa and the Sahel.

But this region is very volatile.

Mali is like a free for all game.

The country has collapsed into many different factions you have tribes, islamic extremists, tuareg separatists, the French and Russian wagner forces.

While Mali goes through so many coups.

KE airborne again?

Speed of object is significantly higher than Akinci's cruise speed (but lower than max speed). Also shadowed by a TB2.

Update: Flight profile indicates some kind of testing. Max recorded speed is 400 km/h which is significantly higher than Akinci max speed. Hence, it must be KE and the 3rd known flight so far.

Why Mali and that region in general? I remember a couple of months ago when president of Nijjer hosted Swiss ambassador. Above the president of Nijjjer there was Ottomans Empire coat of arms. There is a lot of useful things to achieve there over longer period of time.

Counter french interest in Africa. Mali actually told France to withdraw its soldiers on the ground in early 2022.

The new military regime in Mali after the coup d’etat is in bed with Russia and Wagner mercs (them guarding even the junta chief). The Russians will get their hands on TB-2 C&C tech, data transfer structure and software codes …

Not an IT expert, then I stand corrected. But the rest would be enough to be protected before vatnik eyes? The Russians already had their hands on TB-2 hardware. It‘s not a strategic state secret, but the Russians would love to know how to cripple Turkish drones in Ukraine.

Russia‘s MIC is in an awful state right now (corruption, slopiness) but they had/have brilliant minds and capable engineers since Soviet era.

Minds who are getting older by the day/drowning themselves in vodka/injecting copious amounts of krokodil up the wazoo/far, FAR away from Russia/turned into ground beef in Ukraine.

Take your pick.
