BTW, Turkish bigger drones like Akinci and Aksungur will be able to release smaller swarm attack drones like Alpagu-II (more than 10km range) in mass. Dozen of kamikaze drones in swarm formation will enter into the danger zone of strategic SAM systems and bingo ! Turkish industry is producing many different alternative striking/defensive systems to deal with future threats. Our decision makers and future concept planners are doing great job.

I believe Kuzgun will be the real candidate to be a SAM killer, modern modular munition of drones. It has potential to dethrone the MAM-L. Its range factor (100+km) and advanced guidance options will be the main advantages at strategic operations. No matter How Russians modify their existing SAM systems to deal with drones. This munition will be the next nightmare of their systems.

Turkey is slowly but surely building up these high-tech force multipliers. I really don't mind if the Altay gets further delayed, as long as the Turkish defense industry keeps coming up with these innovative designs of which we have gotten a taste in Syria, Libya and Azerbaijan.

The only thing that is not under development afaik are spike-ER and NLOS- like missiles carried on light vehicles with at least 8 of these missiles. If Turkey develops this, it can do away with MBT all together and design light and cheaper tanks (Kaplan+105mm) for infantry fire-support. The Kornet and OMTAS tank destroyers are a good beginning, but should be developed further to carry more and longer ranged missiles.

No tank is safe in today's and definitely tomorrows battlefield.

I really like the idea of SEAD operations conducted mainly by UAVs. SEAD is a risky job requiring high level intelligence and there are situations in which it is a nightmare to conduct it with a manned plane. It requires special equipment and also special trained pilots and a loss of a fighter jet in a SEAD mission is tragic both in technical but also in human resource perspectives.

With the use of UAVs taking different roles utilizing intelligence pods, radars and EW equipment, smart decoys, smart munitions/cruise missiles and loitering munitions the SEAD performance will increase enormously and big weight and risk will be taken from the shoulders of the manned fighter jet squadrons. This kind of capability is strategically important and I am proud that Turkey is taking the right steps toward this.

Speaking of SEAD, I'm eagerly waiting on Turkeys ARM, the Akbaba. We are hearing too little about it unfortunately.

As long as radars stay oblivious to it , then it is a success. Otherwise it would fall prey to SAM’s. These are big birds. With all that ammo , normally they will be lighting up on radar screens. Hopefully the airforce will be using powerful EW equipment to prevent it being shot.
We used Anka in Idlib with EW support. So they must have a way to circumvent the danger of enemy SAM systems.

It will be always cat and mouse play but obviosly your military planners are not sitting idle and enjoying in recent sucesses as it is announced that work on new EW systems has already begun.

As long as it’s ready for Libya, Syria 😜 Ardan Zentürk made a case on Russias role in Libya and one on Azerbaycan and pointed out how big of a problem it was to stop operations when we were in the roll, because Russia only understands power.

As we know MAM-L also has GPS/INS guidance option so it could be possible for static targets. I think it has to be a software related functionality to import a target coordinates to big number of bombs and unleash them at the same time or one after another right behind each other.

Wait, didn’t MAM-L not have target tracking and adjusting trajectory, it would only need lock and ir seeker. On each munition that is.

If such seeker is developed it could be very possible. We know that improved MAM-Ls are coming with different types of guidance.

UMTAS has IIR, shouldn't be too hard to integrate IIR in MAM-L since it is an adapted version of UMTAS.
It is a matter of cost, but worths for annihilating an entire convoy or battalion with multiple missiles at once.
