Not a Kizilelma but I personally saw the Ghost Bat made by Boeing at the airshow.

Its interesting first hand to see the future of warfare in full swing. But also terrifying because these drones dont look so imposing compared to jet fighters.

Because you have people looking at F35s and Super hornets more than the drone itself. People dont realise the future is already here.

Hopefully see the MIUS KE and the Anka 3 personally one day.
Is it smaller than the F-16?

What happened to the French Neuron project, they have completed more than 100 flight tests until 2020 and after that the project went silent
I read somewhere French air force wasn't interested. ( but they didn't cancel the project yet )

The money spent on the Neuron and related systems projects is estimated at more than $1 billion. In the first phase, Dassault/France brought in Leonardo from Italy, Saab from Sweden, EADS-CASA for Spain (now under the Airbus Defense umbrella), HAI for Greece and RUAG for Switzerland, reducing the project cost to a manageable level, and half of the initial 450 million euros allocated to the project was collected from these participating companies. TAI's participation in the project was blocked for political reasons. However, TAI was the only company with real operational experience in UAV systems in this possible cooperation. The UAV breakthrough at TAI has had a comprehensive state-sponsored strategic plan since 2004 over ANKA program, even if we leave aside all the previous work. As a matter of fact, the aircraft emerged as a prototype, and even with a two-year delay, a flying prototype could be demonstrated in 2012, but then a concrete timetable could not be put forward, and the project has been faced with so many problems for nearly 10 years. Moreover, the model shown was only the first step of a three-stage project.

Indeed, the current status of the project suggests that the Neuron project will be limited to a technology demonstration and that its main function will be to generate technological progress in the participating companies. My personal view is that this project, like Taranis, or even Barracuda as another example, is dead or dying. If France had taken this project forward with its own internal institutions (Saffran, Dassault etc.) without making it multinational, I think the chances of success could have been much, much higher.

Anyway, the plus point for us is that when Anka-3 becomes operational, it will probably not have an equivalent competitor in the European region.

I tried to find the singaporean f16 i could not fcking find it. Asked the people there they were clueless 🤬

F35s and f22s look much bigger than the ghost bat.
How big do you think it is approximately? because KE is about the size of an F-16 and Ghost bat is quoted as much, MUCH smaller.

We should not be too hasty to judge the KE. The fact that this aircraft has been built in such a short time is an extraordinary fact that almost all of us have missed.Probably in 2024, the twin-engine KE will appear, and many of the issues (actuators, etc.) that were criticized on the first technological demonstrator aircraft will be transformed into a more concrete aircraft, as they should be on a real interceptor drone. We have discussed this for pages in this forum, and for me, this is part of Baykar's aggressive policies.

From a conceptual design point of view, I think there is no UAV company that is trying what Baykar is trying, or maybe there is a similar project in China, I dont know. Baykar's goal is not to make a loyal wing man, absolutely not. In this context, we may see deliveries of a limited-capacity variant in a few years, but the KE has a long way to go for doctrinal aims, probably longer than both the Anka-3 and the MMU.

A very good article by Tyler Rogoway about ANKA-3(Phoenix-3) and the TAF's main strategy in more general. He is one of the few authors who has any idea what he is writing about, in the thedrive editorials.


Turkey’s ANKA-3 is a stealthy unmanned combat air vehicle that aims to fit within a growing locally-developed advanced air combat ecosystem.

The aircraft features a serrated dorsal air intake, as well as an auxiliary intake to its upper rear, near its engine exhaust, which appears to be a conventional, round type. A small aerial and another conformal type antenna are seen on this auxiliary intake. Two large pitot tubes are seen installed along its leading edge, and another is seen extending from its nose. Generally speaking, this is not an uncommon test configuration for flying wing UCAV-type aircraft.
What looks to be a pair of fuel tanks or weapons shapes are seen under its wings. A large conformal rectangle fairing and a round one in front of it appear to be a different skin texture than the rest of the airframe. It's unclear what exactly this is for but one possibility is that these are shrouds to cover antenna arrays. The planform overall is similar to Boeing's X-45C and Dassault's nEURon, although the overall aircraft is less refined.

We must state that perhaps more than other types of aircraft, stealthy flying wing drones are known to evolve through the testing process significantly. At first, low-observability is not essential to successful flight testing and other primary trials, so things like extra vents, antenna, pitot tubes, airframe surface refinement, and especially exhaust become far more refined in later iterations.
The exhaust, in particular, is among the hardest components of a low-observable aircraft to successfully realize, so a more basic exhaust can be used for initial testing. As predicted, we saw exactly this with Russia's Hunter-B UCAV. A more production-representative configuration emerged after basic flight testing and other trials were complete, which included a low-observable exhaust, among many other refinements.

The big takeaway here is that Turkey is working on fielding a stealthy flying wing UCAV that puts more of a premium on low observability than high performance. The aircraft is an intriguing counterpart to the recently unveiled fighter-like Bayraktar Kizilelma drone that is already in flight testing.
These two types could provide an intriguing mix of advanced unmanned aerial combat capabilities to the Turkish Air Force, and potentially export customers, if they can prove their intended capabilities in testing. One is more of a high-performance concept with some low-observable features. The other design is less kinematic performance-minded, but its designers have put a premium put on survivability and persistence.

Turkey's new kamikaze UAV "Azab" is coming

Robit Teknoloji developed the multi-purpose kamikaze Azab with its delta wing structure and carried out flight tests. With Azab, which has a long range and high payload capacity, blasting tests are planned in the near future.

2 different solutions for different needs

Explaining that they have developed a 3-meter electric catapult to launch Azab T150, Fırat said that Azab T200 has a 6-meter catapult, and that it can be launched from a truck or container since the rocket system, which is still in progress, is completed.

Stating that they presented Azab to the Presidency of Defense Industries and received positive feedback, Fırat said, "The fact that a UAV with these features can become flying and the load it has reached is not a point reached in Turkey yet. It can self-destruct when it reaches its target or when the mission is over. "

Pointing out that the most fundamental difference that distinguishes Azab from similar products is its useful load carrying capacity, Fırat continued as follows:

"Currently, there is no kamikaze UAV carrying payloads in these capacities in our country. Another important feature is that it is user-guided and can be set up very easily. It is also a platform that can be developed. Do not think of Azab as just a kamikaze UAV. It can also be used by integrating different payloads. Even though Azab can carry a load of 50 kilograms if you want. We can extend the platform to a wingspan of 3.5 meters, we can design its fuselage any way we want. Thanks to its radar cross-section and composite body, it is a product that is very unlikely to be caught by the radar. In our tests, it usually flies between 50-100 meters, "The minimum altitude is at these levels. Azab can reach a speed of 278 kilometers per hour, it goes very fast. The operator can control Azab up to a range of 200 kilometers. It is possible to reach a range of 500 kilometers with the T200."
I think It has a 6-8 meter and highly portable, simple launch mechanic, which can be carried disassembled by a soldier and set by hand. It can provide an important asymmetric capability to troops in the field. A pickup can carry 4-5 drones ready for use with different warheads.

I wonder how many people will get triggered at a Turkish weapon using an Arabic name not realising Azab not just means grave punishment but also Azaps were Ottoman infantry used as frontline troops to tire out the enemy before the big guns or main infantry was used.

Basically this drone is going to cause destruction and chaos to the enemy before even using your main stuff.

Centuries has passed and we still use concepts our ancestors used but with modern tech.

Basically this drone is going to cause destruction and chaos to the enemy before even using your main stuff.

Centuries has passed and we still use concepts our ancestors used but with modern tech.
Personally, it should have been spelled with a 'p' but whatever. I'm not really upset about it.
