No matter what combination of aircraft you can have on TCG Anadolu it is absolutely necessary to take a weapons system to its full capability as it expands the envelope of Navy's capabilities and also it is offered as an exports product to foreign navies. So as a product it needs to have its own maximum capabilities achieved to have a higher market value.

At some point in time when the TEI PD engines that are in development now get deployed on the TB3 a 350kg weapons load for PD222 and a 450kg weapons load for PD300 seems achievable. So any deployment scenario should include such possibilities.

My own opinion.

TB3 has 170hp engine and if it can carry 280kg with this engine, you can extrapolate what you can achieve with 225 hp and 305 hp engines and my estimates are rough but conservative. Also consider that you don't have to load same amount of fuel for every mission, you can cut down on fuel to increase weapons load at the cost of time in the air. For comparison Gray Eagle STOL is equipped with a 450hp engine and can carry 16 hellfire missiles totaling 752 kg of weapons load. Applying the same power to weight ratio to the TB3 one could expect 510 kg weapons load considering other aspects of the TB3 are changed accordingly.

TB3‘s main handicap was the avoidance of that big lift at the back, almost in the way of run way. Otherwise having gone through simulations and land tests it was ready to be tested on Anadolu. So far, with auto landing etc it seems to have succeeded. But it still is not ready for full operation. We need to see it taking off and land with full fuel and weapons load and in adverse weather conditions. Hence all the current testing being done.

KE and Anka-3 need arrester wires and hook landing (Selçuk Bayraktar himself admitted it for KE). That is not an easy Task. You would have to destroy part of the expensive deck surface that was treated with special materials to withstand F35B’s excessive heat generation during it’s landing.
Navy knows that where as normal aircraft operations are cancelled in certain weather conditions, F35Bs carry on landing due to their vertical landing capability. As long as there is a chance to purchase F35Bs, that surface is untouchable.

This is news to me. If true, I stand corrected. But according to most related media it was believed that the ship was built to accommodate F35B jets. Hence the hangars and surface was covered accordingly.

the ship was launched in water on 30th April 2019. Turkey was removed from F35 program on 17th July 2019. If it was launched without surface treatment and the treatment was applied later, that could be the case.

This remains still obscured years later. We don't have a good official confirmation for or against it. It's also not clear if Spanish Harriers can land and take off from Anadolu as well.

Afaik during the joint exercise with USS Wasp, Harrier were stationed on the Wasp, but they didn't land on Anadolu too.

Any VTOL can be expected from TAI including a jet fighter at this stage. However we can rule out very smal ones like Baykar DIHA and similar size. Probably one with an MTOW of 300+ kg is a useful one with available propulsion options.

VTOLs are strategically important and a real multiplier. They could also be used to turn frigates and destroyers into small drone carriers. If these could carry a payload of 150-200 kg, they could also be used tactically against enemy ships, including for patrol flights and reconnaissance.
