TEI of course doesn't have its capital in a bank. Money they make from build to print parts is good enough to keep the lights on but they can hardly handle more than one self funded project at the same time.

There's no fiscal sense in building a PT6 competitor in this market, TEI would be idiots to fund one themselves. Baykar and SSB have the required money though. Hence my comment that money itself is not the issue.
If one F-16 costs 500 million USD in long term, why not?, it is highly possible. Of course it is just for Turkish Air Force not for foreigners.
What's Kızılelma's lifecycle cost? Or Akıncı even. Drones for example require as many if not more ground staff to handle than jets. Unmanned does not necessarily require less manpower. All that gets added to the lifecycle costs. Pilots too. UCAV pilots don't get LIFT training so they are cheaper to train, but there are more of them per airframe. When we talk about lifecycle costs, these numbers all get added in.

He literally says Baykar will develop an engine for KIZILELMA. If you can build a turbofan engine from scratch you should be able to convert an already existing turboshaft into a turboprop.
I never said they did, they are working on it. If they can make a turbofan, they should be able to convert a turboshaft to turboprop.
He can say whatever he likes, until they actually show the capability to do more than put together an engine with off-the-shelf parts, it means jack shit, it is just talk. First let's see him invest the billions necessary to create the ecosystem and expertise needed specifically for a turbofan jet engine.

first sentence will, second sentence if.

I wanted to write this for some time personally to you but since you do this publicly i will write this here.
How many members have this forum but how many are active?
And most of them come here only for news.
It is really funny that sometimes the politics thread is more active than defence realated threads on this defence related forum.
Also you guys said several times that old well known members will return, which didn't happen.

Once i post something to start a discussion, i get critisized for god knows what.

Kindly please delete all my posts and my account. Thank you. I wanted already to do this for some time and you gave me another reason now.

TS1400 is a radial flow engine while the new TS3000 engine is likely to be an axial flow engine which is more suitable for conversion into a turboprop engine. You still need to wait for it to be made though.

If Baykar think they can make a turbofan engine which is evident from the fact that they are supposedly working on it then they can be considered to be very well qualified to convert a turboshaft engine into a turboprop one. The fact that they believe they can make and they actually make are two different situations but with 9000 personnel and counting they are almost guarantied to be able to make it.

What do they need to build one?
Maybe the political/company will?
Maybe money? Maybe innovation. Maybe employees? Maybe experience (must not be from inside Baykar). I can’t see big hurdles except time.

Watched by 18 Countries: Demo of ASELSAN’s ANTIDOT and FULMAR Pods

The ASELSAN-manufactured ANTIDOT Electronic Support and Warfare Pod and FULMAR 200 Synthetic Aperture Radar Pod, integrated into Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, successfully performed their missions during an international demonstration event attended by 18 different countries.
Within the scope of the activity, ANTIDOT and FULMAR pods operating on Bayraktar TB2s worked in coordination and demonstrated their electronic support, electronic attack, reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities in the same operational scenario.

During the demonstration activity, ANTIDOT 2ES 100 and ANTIDOT 2EA 200 pods were integrated onto one Bayraktar TB2, while a FULMAR 200 pod was integrated onto another. In the initial test, the ANTIDOT system successfully detected the target radar system and pinpointed its location during flight. After the ANTIDOT ED pod transmitted the acquired target data, an electronic attack was launched against the target using the ANTIDOT ET pod. This enabled the ANTIDOT-equipped Bayraktar TB2 to approach the target undetected.

In the second phase of the demonstration activity, a different target was detected and its location determined by the ANTIDOT System. Subsequently, a high-resolution SAR image of the target was generated by the FULMAR 200 Radar, and high-precision positional data regarding the target was obtained.
